  • Apache RTR 180 REF carboretor problems.

I have RTR 180 REF, And I have an issue with carburetor. I am sharing all the things I have done in steps.

    1. First time when I had problem with the carburetor, a service mechanic try to re-jet and failed.
    2. Then I bought 150 carburetor and it did not work well.
    3. Then came to India and searched for 180 carburetor. From one shop, I got a carburetor that was 180's as they told me but actually it was 160. Ran ok but felt powerless and the sound was not smooth like 180.
    4. After 2 years, it started causing problems again.
    5. I have rebuilt the full bike including 70% of engine parts.
    6. Now carburetor is causing problems and for the full power, I need a carburetor for the same.
    7. India is in lockdown and I cannot find me here.

Can anyone help me to re-jet 160 for 180 now. After lockdown is lifted, I will buy it from India. But for now I need to keep my motorcycle functional.

How to rejet, what size I should use for which jet? I am trying rejet for now.

N9041400N Part no. for RTR 180.

I will be very grateful if anyone can send me a carburetor to me (Bangladesh). If anyone can help.

If I remember correctly from taking apart my RTR 180 Carb when I had the bike in 2014, the jet size is 17 pilot and 25 main. The Temporary measure is to lift the plunger pin by 1 slot and see if you feel any improvement. Original RTR jets were difficult to source even in the SVC and they never seemed to have stock.

I have try to re jet, no improvement, what I did for now bought a new 160 carburetor and set it, now working ok but not 100% performance.
If I try re jet now that could be bad idea because new carburetor could be damage again,
Or I should try for re jet?
