I am new to xBhp. I recently had a engine rebuild to my Pulsar 220 in Bajaj service centre, costed me around 10K + labour. Service person insisted me to change body balancer (however the part looked good), but we were not able to replace the same while rebuilding we used the old one (spares not available in my town). However, I found the product available onliine. I ordered it and I got the same.
Now, I am riding my bike below 4k rpm (tried to reach 6K rpm, engine vibrated very badly). My bike has run 600 km after engine rebuild. Will this vibration and harshness go after 1,000kms or the next service?
The mechanic asked me to come with my bike after 1,000 km and told he would need to adjust many things and that would take some half day (I don't know if that is like a first service similar to a new bike). What would be changes that he would be doing? Just curious.
Should I take my bike after 1,000kms to service centre or go with replacing oil and oil filter ASAP to save my engine?
Also, shall I replace the body balancer now while changing oil. I am afraid my new piston, cylinder blocks would worn out if I continue to 1,000kms without oil replacement at 5,00kms (So, I am thinking about this ).
Please give your suggestions and any other tips to be followed after engine rebuild.
