  • [Help]: Finding a pillion for Leh.

Hi xbhpians,I'm planning to go leh on 12th june by my P~220.Now what I need is a pillion, frankly speaking just because the trip expenses can be shared and may cost low for each.As I dont have much time so planned it for only 5 days. one half day for going(can't reduce the time as p220 dose'nt go much fast),same for returning and 2 days stay at leh, which makes it 5 days trip.

Approx petrol expenses will be around Rs.5000/- total and take other expenses max.of around Rs 2000/- each,if you dont do any shopping.
So that makes Approx Rs.4500/- each.

I'll be starting from Agra on 12th(if I get any pillion) and will go via delhi-chandigarh-manali route.
So if any one interested he can contact me at 09897972353.

Note- pillion has to carry his littile luggage on his back.

mods if I have posted this thread in wrong section then please help me out by posting it in right section,as I am not very familiar with net xbhp
    Thank You.

    Query Moved and Approved.

You want to do Leh with a pillion!!?? And that too a pillion whom you might not have met or taken pillion ever?

I would seriously suggest you ride solo on your bike, and do not take pillion. That way it would be more comfortable for both your bike and you.

@Deadly biker: Agra - Leh in 1.5 days with a pillion?? Great!!

BTW, have you done leh before?

If you have than i would'nt comment else all I would say is, it will take 32-35 hours of real good hard core riding from Agra to get to Leh via Manali, even if you have the fastest bike on the planet, as plain fast no good here my friend.

      Have fun!

Well, I would Salute the one who can do that great distance in 1.5 days. am not talking about the mere kilometers though. the terrain, the Temperature and other things are a bit of concern for a 1.5 days ride. but who said there's anything called Impossible!!!
Its not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!

Wow! You are a Deadly biker and you want a Deadlier PILLION! Unless that person is a professional pillion rider, I doubt that anyone would want to go to Leh as pillion unless he/she is really desperate to get there. In that case the pillion would take the flight!

You say half a day to get to Leh from Agra! That is like 1500 kms in half a day from Agra!!! Inform the Limca Records people before you leave.

As for the pillion sharing the cost to go to Leh, I would not go even if you pay me!

Oh, Abhishek bhai. So you are the one. Man, you know the terrain, you have done those roads "n" number of times! You know how bad it can get. Do you think any pillion would come with you? As I said, I wouldn't.

Dude... go solo or else find someone to ride alongwith you. That way you will enjoy your journey and also won't stress your steed.
And rework your calculations. You are not attempting any record i suppose...

PERSEVERE... failure is not an option!

                    Oye teri... Abhishek thu ??

When i read this thread afternoon... i thought what a crazy idea ?

And now i come to know its you.

A simple suggestion: I know your conditions back at home, save up some more money and then go, dont lurk around for pillion.

Have a solo ride, else try finding another partner who is on another bike... I bet you wont regret...

I doubt it. Before even a quarter of the ride is over you will be asking for extra insurance, compensation for the stress that you are undergoing... etc, etc.

I have sat behind the guy, I know how he rides. And he has been doing the Raid regularly. Hence I know how he will ride up there as well.

@Deadly Biker: JUST 5 days for Leh? It would be another Raid for you, I guess! Try and take out atleast 8-10 days, so that you could enjoy the ride, and more importantly click some wonderful photographs.

Well, like I said earlier...no fun /pun intended but I would love to see someone who can do that long distance in 36 hours....... The man can do it, the machine can also do it, but the terrain is at time not at all forgiving types. so please, request you to reschedule the dare and stretch the trip by another 5 days at least.

Otherwise, you are the best judge.

P.S: I have insurance, I love Hills, I love going to Leh, I love Biking.....but 1 and a half day to Leh as a pillion...... NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

I do not want to hijack the thread with my mindless rantings but here is a hypothetical situation which is relevant to the context I feel and thus not OT at all... what if I pay you 20K to do it!
