  • Crash Bobbins for Zma-R

Guys, anybody can suggest where i can find and get crash bobbins fitted onto my Zma-R as recently i had a crash ,the car bugger braked immediately without any signal as he wanted to take the immediate left leaving me to brake hard and as it had rained and there road was a bit a slippery i fell resulting in
    1.Gear lever bent
    2.Handle bent
    3.Scratches on my fairing

I hurt my knee and thanks to my helmet noting serious happened ...so now i am seriously looking into crash bobbins to avoid serious damages in future (hope not )I stay in Bangalore and pics are always a welcome

Dude you can go in for Hunk or Xtremes Crash Guard..!! They are direct fitment to the ZMA..! but you have to remove the Engine Cowl if you have to do that..!!

Nobody thought about these for indian bikes. I do not know how effective are they on indian bikes.

You can go for a crash guard. It will be the best option.

Saw a karizma with a crash guard at today's g2g. It was looking good.

                          Imho.....

As per my understanding, Crash Bobbins(CB) can be fitted onto any bike having a twin spar frame. Which none of the Indian bikes have, barring a few defunct Kinetics, LMLs and the R15.

You might be able to fit a CB on the upper mounts of the engine cowl. However, I doubt it would be of much use in the event of a crash. You see, a 'crash guard' or any thing that manages to reduce the damage to a bike's body panels and handlebars needs to be mounted somewhere or the other onto the main chassis of the vehicle. This is because in the event of a fall the guard absorbs most of the forces and distributes the rest through the chassis of the bike. Thus reducing impact to painted parts and ofcourse your own skin.

                          Regards
                          Joey.

                            crash guard vs bobbins

people do get it fixed at many other places also on their SBKs ,places like crankcase ,shocks, swingarms many more.....crash guard means removing the cowl at front which i dont want to and when i checked out some websites ,the crash bobbins costs minimum 39 pounds atleast ......if the screws are of the same size then u can fit bobbins to the engine cowl but how effective would that be is definetely a ? but it would be better than nothing i feel,in Bangalore anybody has idea regarding shops where they sell superbike stuff spares and addons
