    Help needed to solve a strange problem with wheelies on my rx100

    I own an rx100 89 model.
    Here are few details of the bike:-
    It has a charzee bend,fork bend,swingarm bend. It is running on a last size bore converted to 110(shogun pistons). Light ported(around 0.8mm in the exhaust, intake untouched). Carb is in stock, no upjetting and stuff done. Silencer is inbuilt and air filter is in stock. Sprocket combition is 13 and 39. I use petrol mixed with oil(no side tank). And engine oil am using is agip.

    The problem is pulling wheelies on this bike is next to impossible(unless a donkey wheelie). It doesnt pop good enough even in 1st gear. I am not a good wheeler, just learning. but even good wheelers are not able to. The strange thing about this problem is my bike has a good power. Initials is much more than a stock one and top speed is around 115(on speedo). I've pulled wheelies(not very good though) in a fully stock rx 100 in 1st gear but not not able 2 do it on my ride.

    My mechanic says its because of the charze bend.But i dont see much sense in this and he is not a good mechanic either.
    I feel the problem is with the clutch plate. There are lot of gear slips speacially in high revs. There is no chain lag or problem with sprockets. So i feel its a problem with the clutch plate and gear box.
    But my mechanic says gear slips are because of the 110 convertion which is not set properly. It is giving too much of vibrations causing gear slips and the clutch plate is absolutely fine. But i dont see sense in this again.

    I'v spent a lot but have got no good results. I dont want to let these illiterate mechanics screw my bike without understanding the problem.
    So looking out for some help here.

    Changing the bore, gear box and stuff is not in my budget.So please help me understand the exact problem with my bike and plzzzzzzzzzzzzz suggest me a solution for the problem(above mentioned details of the bike can be useful).

      First of all is it 'Chassis' you are referring to as 'charzee' or do u mean something else?, well after reading your query i think the problem is of your bike's clutch plates as you have mentioned it. Please take your bike to another mechanic.

        If 'charzee' = chassis, then you have a serious problem - get this rectified if possible. Replace the swing arm and have the fork trued.

        In any event, as long as the bike can be ridden, I don't see why the chassis would prevent a wheelie.

        Must be that Yamaha engine rejecting the Suzuki piston!

        I'm not sure what a donkey wheelie is. Could it be this:

            Ok let me explain what a donkey wheelie is. In a normal wheelie you pull the bike when it is in motion. Whereas in a donkey wheelie you use more throttle and release the clutch in 1st gear when the bike is in stand still. So the front wheel pops up and you gotta carry by controlling the throttle.Legs will be on the ground and so braking is not possible.

            And yea i was talking about chassis,sorry spelling mistake. The bike is not condition where riding it is a big problem inspite of the chassis bend, fork bend etc. I've got used to it and i even do some freestyles with hands off the handle bar(in the beginning it used to move in all possible directions as soon as my hands go off the handle, but now i've got used to it.so can balance without much difficulty). The only problem i am facing is in wheelies. Considering this do u think the various bends are effecting wheelies??

              rx-100 wheelie

              try giving ur bike a jerk before u try to pull it
              use ur power plus the rpm to pull a wheelie.
              before leaving the clutch press the fromt brake give a pump on the shoc-ups and then suddenly release the clutch with high rpm.
              the bike will surely pop up.

                well, it does pop up when i do this but not sufficiently, maybe around 45degrees. But when i do this on other bikes(even bikes with lesser power than mine) it pops well and sometimes even overshoots

                  man how come you even ride the bike with all stuff bent. just get the stuff straightened out and then get back to the stunting thing

                    Dad is totally against me riding because i've had some serious leg injuries. So NO MONEY to get it repaired. i've been doing freestyle stunts on this from a couple of months, so got used to it.

                      reduce the air pressure of ur rear tyre.
                      may be ur puttin more weight on the front so try sitting a bit behind on ur rx coz it a light bike.
                      check your clutch if the wire is spoilt, the clutch wont release quickly even if the lever is released. tighten ur clutch lever and wire.
                      let me know more if this does not work.
                      till then keep rockin.

                        But i have tried with the low air pressure also, it doesn work...
                        And there is no problem with the clutch wire. The clutch is not loose either. I sit in the centre of the rider and the pillion seat to pull wheelies.
                        And 1 more thing is i can do good donkey wheelies on the same ride with ease. The problem comes only in pulling a wheelie when the bike is in motion.

                          Check the condition of the clutch bell and pressure plates.

                              Buddy....if clutch and clutch wire is ok...try cleaning ur carb as well...if still prob persists try changing ur sprockets to another size like 16,32.....with ur present sprocket 13, 39 ur bike will not do (if i am not wrong) more than 70KPH in fourth gear at max rpm......at the moment as soon as u pull a wheelie with the bike in motion, ur bike mite lift a bit but by that time ur rpm is already on the max limit and ur bike will not have the power to lift it further.......try pulling wheelie in motion in second gear ...u would need to pull up your bike a bit......this could help u !!!
