  • My P180 met with an accident : need a little info

    Hi guys,
My P180 UGIII met with an accident 2 weeks back when my roommate went and hit some pedestrian walker (He was drunk). Thats all over now..
    1. My handlebar was bent badly and i Straightened myself by pulling & pushing..
    2. My crashguard ( God bless this ..!!!! Its a wonder) is bent very badly, almost touching the engine on both sides.
    3. Small scratches on the dome( luckily the K&N sticker is intact )
    4. Foot pegs bent a bit on the right side.
    5. Exhaust can's Chrome plating entirely scratched and dented.
    6. Small dent on the tank because of the handlebar.

Now please tell me these things,
    1. Should I wait for the new P180' clip on handlebars or should i fit the normal ones. ?
    2. Should i change the crashguard or just remove the bends and re-use it. I doubt the tensile strength will reduce if i remove the bends. ( Should I fit the P200's crash guard or the normal ones?)
    3. New P180's spares will take a month to come it seems, is it worth the wait??

1.Just go for the normal 180's handlebar. IF u want a more sportier one, go for the 200's. It s a bit lower than the UG3's.

2.Change the crash guard. Costs some 350 bucks.

3.Yes, wait or try another showroom.
When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)

The service centre guys quoted 270 for the handlebar and 586 for the Crash Guard. Dunnno how much they are gonna bomb me for the LED lights.
Reallly confused. Last evening my rear tire got punctured. ( first time in 21 months) . Opened it up and found the whole mouth ripped apart from the tube . He said i have to get the tube changed. Spent 200 bucks for some tube called Priya ( he also fixed a wrong size - 19").
After this my back wheel makes the world's most embarrasing screeching sound while braking. I was wondering it is the sound coming from the bus in front of me, but it ws my bike .
Went to the Bajaj service centre and asked them to fit the wheel properly and I was astonished by the reply they gave me "TAKE IT TO THE SAME PLACE WHERE U GOT THE TUBE CHANGED" "We wont touch ur bike"... Dammit I got it fixed on a roadside puncture shop. what else could i do??? Push the bike for 7km to reach the service centre???

that's really disgusting....SC charges u more than normal..i had a small crash..i went there to change the dome.l...he said visor will cost around 250..i was like ..luckily the day before it got crashed i want to bajaj geuine spare part dealer and bought a new visor for 150...now i know that these guyz charge extra 100 for each part...as the bike was crash landed by my maths sir..so he payed 1000 for that;.....so din't really argue with those morons...i rejected the change of visor...

If I were you I'd throw that tube out and put in a genuine tube of a known brand, and of the righ size. Do that if you value your safety.

And don't take such crap from service centres lying down. Ask to speak to the manager or something...
