There's nothing called porting in 4 strokes

First of all totally untrue!! Vibes on the Xtreme can be due to various other reasons.
What made u conclude that a hi-lift cam increases vibes? Try using the Xtreme cam on the Uni, am sure there will not be any vibes!

Really? Then how does the charge come into the combustion chamber, without ports?
Porting is a very complex method of improving the gasflow, however the methodology changes from 2-strokes to 4-strokes.
How many times havent I mentioned "changing the port geometry" in my build posts. So what is it if its not porting mate?

Porting has to be done right, else you'll loose on velocity and cause flow losses. You simply cant enlarge a port without any clue.

joel "changing the port geomatry" did u mean making them bigger just to accomodate a bigger valve or u altered the vavle motion in any dimension .. ?? are they moving on the same axis or there is any change in that ??

Look at the edges of the port near the opening on the right one, theres a step which gradually forms the wall of the port, whereas the one on the left has been milled to remove that.

I've re-attached the pic , hope it makes sense now.

thanks a lot that really explains it all and now the difference is visible. the width of the walls around have a big difference.

High lift cam on the extreme causes the engine to produce more power/torque. Hence, the vibes magnify too.
