The biggest issue I can see is that the frame has not been designed for using a monoshock. It will put stress on parts of the frame that were never made to take such stress. That could maybe be helped by careful strengthening of certain places, but that really is an expert job. More over the quality of the welds on the new connection point for the monoshock can be a big issue.

I have heard of 220 modded in that way though, never seen it.

donot do it... the dual shocks actually play a double role... other than suspension, they provide suppor for the rear part of the chassis.. if you are always a solo rider then the mono is an option... if not never do it... i've seen cases of cracked frames because of mono shocks on a pulsar....

^Agreed, but can swap the stay of a unicorn ( not much of a fuss ) or a classic CBZ stay and then strenghten in with extra weld. Then you need to do some modification to the frame too for mounting the shocks. The cost goes some where between 5 K for a crappy job to 10 K with imported springs.

This just adds to bling factor.Looks really cool. But you dont get a commandable improvement in ride qualities. My personal opinion - Stay away

              well said!

i dont know how far this uni stay works... AFAIK, the uni Chassis has mounts for the mono... but this has to be welded onto a pulsars' frame and welding on frames increases the vibrations like crazy! and personally i wouldnt ride a bike whose whole rear suspension is resting on a piece of welding

                    Help !!

Guys i own a p220 , i'd like to make the riding position look just similar to r15 or any other sports bike ,
i was thinking putting up a r15 handle to p220 would make it look alike to that..
                    But my doubt is .
how will the handling be ?
and i would like to change my p220 foot rest front and rear to that of r15's or fz16 , any suggestion on that would be really helpfull

Me too thought of carrying out a mono-shock mod on my ZMA b ut then decided against it since the bike specs are made to suit a stule and any stuctural changes can ruin it.

For performance mods on 220, contact Joel. He is the GOD of modifications.

I have a cantilever type mono shock on my pulsar and it works fine, in fact it works better than my original set up. The whole point is to do it properly and get it done by a professional.

You can definitely put in a unicorn mono shock, however you would need to change the swingarm too.
