  • Help with my R15!

    I own a R15 & I have 2 doubts

    1) I read in the manual that we should use UNLEADED petrol only. Not all the petrol pumps provide unleaded and in a long trip it could be a problem. Any solution for this guys??/

    2) I wanna put luminous bulbs below front faring..... Will it consume more charge?? Is it advisable?? Anybody have tried this??

Regarding underbody Neon glow lights , yes you can put the Leds as they consume very Little light and many have done it

        Buddy,,,,,

All the 4 stroke bikes should only be filled with Unleaded Petrol....its not unique for R15......

And reg the Luminous Bulb..yes u can fix it....NP with Battery consumption....Be carefull on wiring......

          I live in pune......
some petrols pumps dont have unleaded......
I practially faced problem while I went to dapoli some 230 Km from pune.... while returning my bike went dry & the petrol pumps dont have unleaded... atlast I got one but it was a bad scenario.. I had friends during that trip so I got escaped.... But if I am alone means it would have been a problem.....
What if we dont put unleaded & put leaded or speed petrol....

Leaded Petrol is Banned In India since long back . you might be confusing unleaded petrol with the Premium additive ones like xtrapremium ,speed97 .

              oops sorry.....
The petrol station guy just says I dont have unleaded petrol, so I just leave & look for next petol pump... SHELL has unleaded and super unleaded so I normally use to put there.......
Is xtrapremium & speed are advisable to R15......
Is all the petrols avilable in India is unleaded only but with some mixtures having different name??

Speed97 is a petrol of higher octane no.preferable for SBKs. Extra Premium is the same 87 octane petrol, but premixed with additives which increase the detergent action&keep the internals cleaner. You can safely use it in your R15, I'm using it in mine since a year&no issues.

Iv filled the crappiest fuel available in some remote places , not even petrol bunk , u get in some bottles in villages.

The bike accepts it with no issues at all.just make sure to add FI cleaner liquid once in a while to the fuel tank.

Generally not lead , but u never no what all is added in our country :-P
