  • Throttle problem

    hi guys

yesterday i was just trying to start my bike when this thing happened!!

my throttle grip or handle or bar is completely loose
    means rotates freely ...

i thought that the cable is broken ,,,, but its a new one

so is cable breaking the only reason for it ?
Hope is a good thing ,

      Which bike is it?
Your query is a little confusing, Are you saying that the switch is moving freely along with the throttle when pulled? If yes then you would have to get the switch fixed properly with some packing if needed. And yes it could be that the throttle cable is breaking because of the loose switch, so get a new cable, oil it before installing.

        thanks

        oh sorry for confusing bro
i will try and explain it

what you call the race or the thing you rotate to accelerate
        the throttle bar

the thing is that normally some pressure has to be applied to rotate it
and when you leave it ... it return back to 0 throttle position
        like a rubber

but mine remain at the same position and absolutely no pressure has to be applied to rotate it to the last position
it moves very freely without any elasticity or tension

and as i said remains at the same position where we leave it

sorry for long write up cause i did not know where you were confused

edit : bike is yamaha rx 135 4s
Hope is a good thing ,

Probably the cable is broken or has disconnected from the carb valve. Can you rev the engine with such an accelerator?

1.If ur not able to rev up then hard cable.
2.If no hard cable then acc. grip is touching the handle bar pipe from inside. slightly adjust the grip and fix it lil out side with acc. rotor body.
3.If all good n acc throttle grip is absolutly free, then broken cable from inner side.
4.If no broken cable from innerside then "Y" got disconnected, coz almost all the @s machine which are equipped with oil pump has three ends for one cable. 1 for main grip, 2nd for main carb throttle, 3rd for oil pump. to connect these wires each other it has got on "Y" junction under the fuel tank which is made up of plastic. 2 wires must be intact (oil pump and carb throttle.) the 1st which ic conencted from Main grip till Y must be disconencted. Check for that. if u can connect then "OK", or else better to replace the acc. cable. don't take risk coz if oil pump wires breaks or throttle cable stucks then ur in trouble.

Correct me if I am wrong.

thanks pavan and chinmay for helping

i am not able to start the engine
as usual i have to kick 100 times before my bike comes to life

but this time when it came to life.... something like bhaw bhaw ( lol )
happened like the engine was coughing and then it shut off..
i noticed that i forgot to open the fuel cork
              so i did it
after two mins this thing happened
now the engine refuses to start at all
Hope is a good thing ,
