  • Maintenance Help

Hey guys, I have some questions. I have owned a big bike in the past, but never had to worry about maintaining the bike as my mechanic took care of EVERY last detail (he lived two houses away ).

Anyway. Now I have plans to change my Apache 150's covered chain to the RTR Refresh's O-ring chain, along with the open chain cover. Considering I've never maintained an open chain, I need some help on this. How do I keep it clean, how do I know when it needs adjusting, and how frequently should I use the lube sprays. Also which lube sprays are the best to use? I hear praise about Motul's but I got no clue where to begin.

Also, a cousin of mine in Chennai is planning to buy a Fireblade after 10 years on the CBZ, Karizma, 220, and CBR 400. He wanted to know aside from the chain, air, oil, brakes, and clutch, what should he check and in what intervals? What should he check on a daily/weekly/monthly/annual basis?
