wat all things are covered in free servicing.
if the servicing is free then why should we pay for the oil changes?
wat all things on the bike are covered under warranty.
like if i find my air filter torn in the first service should i pay for it or is it covered under warranty.

wat if my gear box breaks under 1k then who should pay for it or is it under warranty.

guys plz share your knowledge on this as the sc guys easily getaway with this as i hav no knowledge of wat is free servicing and wat comes under warranty

All that you are asking is given very clearly in the instruction manual that came along with your bike. Have a look at that and put in queries....

yes i know but the sc guys quote something or the other like sir this is not covered under warranty. i think only manufacturing defects are covered under warranty so if some part of your bike gets damaged after 2 months then he(the sc guy) will say it is your fault. so how to claim on warranty.

First, read the terms and conditions in the warranty.

Also know that some manufacturers will replace parts even if they are not legally covered by the terms and conditions... something like goodwill warranty.

Consumables are never covered in warranty (unless explicitly stated). You have to pay for the oil. As far as I can tell, even air filter wont be convered in warranty. It would be a really rare case if you find it torn. Very, very likely it could be the mechanic that did the damage. If you know for sure that a mechanic has caused ANY kind of damage (including scratches), you should certainly take this up with the manager of the service center and even the company, if necessary. Make them accountable and pay for what they damage. This has nothing to do with the warranty.

Gear box "breaking" would definitely be covered in warranty as long as they can't prove that you did something to damage it.

Basically warranties are only for manufacturing defects. If you damage something, or have an acident or if its an act of malicious intent, etc., you cannot expect the company to pay for it.

regarding warranty it states that any wear and tear part is not covered..

the whole engine is a wear and tear part..so its not covered??

i had to change my clutch plates and sprocket kit.it never went under warranty.and if u thinking i was fooled by service center,i was in contact with the service manager.

            so what is covered??stickers??

            anvancy.

Dude, everything can undergo wear and tear, but something like an engine is supposed to have a very long life. Say 100,000 km...

Companies usually give warranty limit in terms of time and km. So an engine could have a warranty till say 3 years or 40,000 km. Within this limit, you can expect warranty coverage... the wear undergone is irrelevant. But there could be other conditions like you should have changed the oil as per the schedule, etc., etc.

              Hope you get the gist...

How long did your clutch and sproket last? Which bike?

Please furnish more details, which bike, which svc station, place, what problems are you facing with bike/svc centre ? Your questions seem to be fictitious and imaginative rather than real one ?

this is exactly the point i wanted to make.every part in a bike has wear and tear, if somepart of your engine gets damaged before the said warranty period then it must be manufacturing defect as they are assuring us that this machine is defect free and will run for atleast this many kms without any problem.that is warranty. if something fails before that and they say that it is due to your poor driving skills then wats the point of warranty. anyone can say that "u dont know how to properly drive your vehicle thats why the blah-blah is broken" and u would have nothing to prove otherwise.

this is just a healthy discussion i wanted to start so that all these troubles in sc that we all are facing should stop and that can only be done by increasing our knowledge thru these type of forums.

yes vipin you are right the story is imaginary, i first owned a second hand max 100 now m planning to buy the apache 180.i have never gone for a free servicing. but this doubt that i have raised has risen due to the no. of complaints i read in the motorcycle ownership threads and also from my friends who have purchased new bikes.
