    Heating up of my engine

    HI ALL,,
    I am facing a problem with MY HERO HONDA AMBITION...by driving only 5-7 kms my engine is heating up ..and d degree of heat is vry high ..

    so plz help me out to solve dis prob........

      When did u changed ur Engine Oil last time..... Km's covered after ?????
      If thats not a problem - check for Engine running on Very Lean Mixture!!!!!!!!
      Is ur Bike Stock????????

        Yes u may be running very lean. Ask ur mech to tune ur carb properly.

          thunder + coplay@180 = both r right
          +few in that from my end...
          1. Check ur secondary chain tension.
          2. Confirm which grade oil poured before.
          3. Change the fuel pump, they may be giving faulty gasoline.
          4. Check the brake setting, if it is on higher side then loose it so it will have some play. Specially rear coz rear swing arm and main small chain sprocket are eccentric in center.
          5. Ru keeping ur foot on brake pedal or holding front brake while riding?(just asking so GHUSSAAA MAT HONA YAAAARRRR!!!!)

              hhm i used engine oil ..n running is around 1200kms ..bt i wil chck d oil level..

                * - If ur using any Crap oil or using a mineral Oil......Replace the Oil...
                * - Check for Lean Mixture of Fuel....
                * - Is that ur Bike is stock -
                Using full cover engine guard?
                Using K&N or any other after market Air Filters?
                Using Full can pipe other than of Stock?
                Have u changed anything recently? Sprocket set? Gear plate? Clutchplate?
                Does the engine sounds anything unusualy?
                R u running in in Unleaded Petrol?

                  i am using castrol engine oil..ya der is a tapping sound frm bore..n i hav changed d spocket of my bike frm 38 eeth 2 42 teeth fr better pickup n wheelies

                    The answer is so simple.....
                    Ur bikes Piston doesnt have the capacity to Pull the 42T Sprocket......
                    Continue this to seize ur engine.....
                    HH Ambi is more than a Commuter rather then a Stunt Tool.....

                      k so i need 2 replace my stock wid dis one i am using now ..k i wil....bt it wasnt happening b4 ..it started 1 month agi nly n i am using 42 teetn spocket rm 2 n half moths

                        Bike engine heating is bcoz of many reasons. pl check the following one by one:-
                        1.Is the engine running lean.
                        2.correct grade of engine oil & level of oil in engine.
                        3.drive chain slackness. there shold be 1 inch freeplay
                        4.too tight brakes. check freeplay. both wheels should turn freely.
                        5.excessive piston cylinder clearance. ie worn out bore, check it.
                        6.over advanced ignition timing. rare but possible
                        7.attachments or covers fitted over engine blocking airflow

                          the bike must be heating coz it must be running at higher rpms for the same speed it used to do with the stock sprockets..so use one grade higher oil and get it changed at 1500kms coz the engine wud remain under tension due to high rpm riding..i don't the grade of oil used on hh ambition but switch to 20w50 now..shud help
