A relay is not really needed. The headlight runs on AC and not through the battery, so the only thing the relay can do is to bypass the h/l switch. In case of running the h/l from the battery, you could have used thicker wire along with the relay to decrease losses.

My bike headlight works both on battery and AC. Even when engine is off, the light can be switched on.

Both? Well in that case you already have another switch to switch from AC to DC right as needed, right? If that switch does not get too hot, a relay is not needed.

There is actually no separate switch which I switch on or off kind of. Is it some autoswitch? In which case how do I locate it?

Well you got me confused there.. Since you have no extra switch to switch from AC to DC and vice versa, I think your headlight runs on DC only. In this case, yes a relay is advisable though not absolutely necessary.

His headlamps will be running from the Batts. Relay will be reqd if you intend to run 100/90 bulb. 65W should be possible on current switch.
