Wow, that hood surely looks awesome man.

I was in JC Road a last weekend. In one of the shops beside the Temple, i noticed some smallish projectors. They did not have any bulb or wiring, just a metal cage and a thick glass in front. Rs.800/- for one big one and Rs.600/- each for some smaller ones. Did not bargain further, just moved away as I have no idea about these. I also noticed one guy opening up the reflector of some bike and gluing it back.

Avin, any progress on this man? Let us all Projector Project guys make one team, hunt down projectors for our bikes and finish the project together? What say? I am sure that would be easier and quicker with lesser allowance for errors.

    Sounds Good?

Whatz this yaar, looks so hot from the first glance. Congrats, for the inspiration and a great DIY job.

Small lenses from Skoda? Whats the bulb size? H7? How much for the lenses? Have you done the levelling and how about the beam spread? Lets have all the details of mounting it to the reflectors and all once u finish it.
      Thanks for appreciation

Small ones from Skoda, holds H3 and Big one in middle is from Benz holds D2S. Have done some Juggad work and fixed H1 as D2S is hard to find.

Small projectors 300rs each. Benz one is 650rs.

I haven't done any leveling bcz i had very little place to accommodate 3 projectors. And i haven't fixed on bike even once so i am not sure how it works out. But i checked with UPS battery at home and it looked decent.

I know, checking at home and on road is too different. Will conclude only once i am done with 100% setup which unfortunately needs more time and money as well

AND please, don't even think of buying the cheap projectors available in JC Road. The Lens are pathetic. I saw a YELLOW colored projector in Royal Traders

Shreeni, how do u fix the lenses without knowing the levels? Did you glued it permanently? Since ur mod doesnt've any templates, (I hope so isnt it?) u need the levelling, might be a time consuming affair. Search for the net for head lamp levelling procedures and it will be helpful, else, there'll be alot of wild greets from the oncomers

Yes D2S is hard to find as its coming only in laxurious cars like benz , audi etc to my knowledge. I am not happy with the Skoda's low beam as the lens is very small but in Laura is simply superb, like the one you've got from Merc. Actually we need the low beams most of the times so its to be splendid, and do u know one thing, after getting a projector, your long view will be sacrificed compared to a convntnl halogen. as the spread is more focussed to a particular area. But u will have a pleasure ride in city traffic. Highways u might need the high beam too.

1 guy was ready to get me D2S but i had to buy a pair as he was ready to get it on order only. Buying a pair of D2S is waste to me, instead i can buy a pair of H3 HID's.

Yes i agree that leveling is very much important and i ve tried the best while fitting the projectors. Projectors are glued with silicon gel and clamps so that there will be no vibrations from it. BUT YEAH i have taken care with the clamps i made, i can adjust the projectors as u adjust the headlight reflector from the base by losening a screw. Anyways i am not telling that is the right way.

Yeah i agree that High beam will be lost, anyway as its in experimenting phase i can conclude later. If things go worse then i will remove 1 projector and put a ellipsoidal that comes with P220

Hey Shreeni, real good work with the slotting of the projectors.. But i've got a question.. Do u have your electrical system modified to give you the power required for the three bulbs?

Do you have any source to get the P220's ellips reflector or something like, as am also in the look out for one. So tha the high beam will be some more better.

my project is still at the drawing board . Got the projectors . the one of sonata. but its quite big. Now the problem is .that it uses H7 and H7 is a single beam one.

Tried the conventional H4 with some jugaad work . The low beam comes out very nice., but the high beam is all over the place.

The question is now whether i use a separate projector for the high beam or sacrifice it as a whole.

The problem being that the sonata projectors are really big and take up a lot of space and i cannot fix another light source.

so.. plans still on the drawing board..

AFAIK Sonata's projector's are not bigger than the Benz ones but yeah true, u can't put another Big projector. As many said, for high beam its always good to opt the ellipsoidal or the spot light kind !!
