    hi all.,,
    during every holidays i travel on my bike 2 my place (my hom) frm my college which is around 140 kms as i stay in hostel n both my college n my place(my city) lie in orissa.,,bt during travelling i need to pass through andhra pradesh. (NH-5) fr around 70 kms..so do i need a noc fr dis ...plz tell me

        No u dont need an noc.but try collecting bills from petrol pumps showing you were in orissa....some times it can help.legally u dont need an noc

          from what i heard . About 3 weeks back they removed the 'every city apna tax rule'
          Now you just have to pay tax once and its valid in any state.
          - You spend half your life before you realize your are ordinary, you then, either are too lazy to change or you do the extraordinary and change the world!

                You need an NOC only if you are permanently moving into that State&plan to register your vehicle there, period.
                Quench my thirst with gasoline!

                    According to the Bangalore RTO, u need an NOC only when u transfer ur bike's registration. And if ur gonna stay in the state for more than 12 months, registration has to be changed.

                    Regarding the removal of "every city apna tax rule"
                    This information is true.
                    U need not pay an entry tax into every state. Pay once is enough.
                    This article came in Times of India 2 weeks back on one Saturday morning.
                    They gave a comparison saying "if u buy a BMW" then bringing it into Karnataka will cost a road tax of 4lakh.... something like that...
                    This was a high court verdict.
