    [Photo Feature]: refuleling problem

    hello guys,
    for the couple of months i have been facing a problem of feeding my bike..... I have a pulsar 150, when i bought her the company mechanic told me to use only unleaded petrol for her, using extra premium petrol would be a overheating problem for the engine, and it could De-align the piston.... I have been following likewise. But now i can hardly find unleaded petrol in my locality. now i am pity confused. Guys please help me with a solution.... I love my Bike like ma baby.......

    Unleaded petrol is the ONLY kind of petrol available in India since 1999. Leaded antiknock petrol has been banned for nearly 11 years now!
    The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

      The Spelling mistake in the Topic....
      Thinking Xtrapremium not suitable for Pulsar 150....
      Overall Confusing everyone toooo........

      Buddy just go to a Petrol Bunk and fill whatever petrol what others fill in thier 4 stroke bikes......
      This is the only solution i can give u......

        Your mech is taking you for a long ride. Firstly, as Ken Cool said, you get only unleaded petrol in India. Secondly, using "premium" stuff like xtra Premium/Speed/Power/etc will not do any harm to your engine... in fact it will likely help. So whatever you fill, you won't go terribly wrong.

          that mech has surely given you some sort of head ache by saying those.Like thunder said,just go and fill whatever petrol is available in an outlet...and when did leaded petrol make a comeback......

            Leaded petrol as said by Ken da has been banned since a long time. So whatever petrol everyone fills in their steeds is Unleaded petrol only so go ahead and just fill the petrol that a bunk provides, but locate some petrol bunk that has a good repo for selling unadulterated stuff. And one more thing Extra premium and the likes are good for your engine and would not 'DE-ALIGN" the piston...

            PERSEVERE... failure is not an option!

              I have no illusions about my technical competence, but what you fill will be somewhat connected to the Octane rating your bike is designed for.

              I say this because, when I ran my RX100 on premium fuel sold by Shell (forgot the brand name) the engine felt very very rough. Ofcourse, Pulsar maybe designed for higher Octane rating but I am not sure for how much.

              Surely, it will not 'de-align' the piston, whatever it means

                If you don't want to fill extra premium petrol, then go to a petrol station which has ordinary unleaded petrol and fill up your bike's tank. 15 liters will last for approximately 750 km.
