    FZ16 problem

    hi guys ... suddenly have a problem with my FZ , bought in June with about 1.5k on the odo ... there are really weird rattling sounds from the engine ,as if something has gone loose inside and the engine seems to be choking while riding (i.e power delivery is considerably reduced ) , the problem seems to reduce if the bike is not used for sometime , say overnight ... then re-occurs once you ride it for sometime .. I got no clue as to what could be wrong ... Is it the spark plugs or something worse ??? SVC is closed half day as today is saturday ... can't take it there as well .
    People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

      Maybe the tappets are loose. Or the timing chain has some slack.

        Take it to your Yamaha Authorized Service Station ASAP. Posting here with vague symptoms won't help much.

          It's almost close to a year and was just wondering if things got sorted out. Curious because you will be doing a long trip(again?) to Krishnagiri this weekend If things are fine now, what was the issue?

            Hie,

            Can the FZ16 carburetor be replace with a P220 caburetor as m facing popping sounds and at tyms engine stalls in lowe rpm.i have checked the RPM and also cleaned the carbs and air filter but still the problem prevails.

            Kindly request you to suggest me....need your help...

              Replace the airfilter if its older than 8000kms.

                The air filter is new just got is replaced but still the popping is there and sudden power loss sumtimes...
