    Hi Guys,

    Quick help is required.
Story:- I was about to buy the new racing color Yamaha-R15(yellow one),But due to some personal reasons,I am goign for the used one.

    I have two choices
    Choice 1:- Nov08 model,only 282 Kms done,Black color in 80K.
Choice 2:- Aug08 model,2800 Kms done,Blue color in 85K..with 3 years of warranty of yamaha(don't know exactly what all will be covered in this).

Papers are clear for both the bikes.I haven't ridden the bikes so far.A part from doing the ride, can someone please suggest which shud be better option.

    Cheers

The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Nov'08 model sounds like a better offer for just 282 km. May be you can have someone ride them to see if they are in good condition....

is the 282 kms bike new ?

or is it a new meter with 282 kms ?

Check the tire to know how much its run.

The first one sounds fishy. Just take along a professional with you to make sure it's not an "accidental" bike. Also all R15's are covered with 2 years warranty from yamaha. How is the second bike you mentioned getting an additional warranty?

If the 1st one is really 282kms.old&has no other issues, I would suggest you to go with it.
As for extended warranty, you can get it done later for about Rs.500. You may not even be interested, considering the things that are covered under warranty.
All in all, I feel the price quoted for the older bike is not worth if he is asking for it because of the warranty.

Well here Nov08 model with just 282Kms is bit unbelievable, check its service record, if found genuine go for it.

The nov 08 bike looks tempting. Why dont u ask for the service history of the bike from Yamaha, i feel they shud help you out. Dont be hasty.....as its a lotta ,omry you're investing. Good Luck.

i suggest u to go with the nov08 model... which ever bike u decide to go in for take it to a good mechanic or a yamaha dealer to check the bike.
Why is the guy selling a 280 kms run bike.?????
