  • ABS for bikes...

I have seen Saferide ABS for bike advertisement in many magazines , Is it really effective ?

I am planning to install it on my P220 , because I have suffered wrist fracture 2 times thanks to panic breaking of front disc... Will it help ?

I could not find any thread regarding ABS , plz redirect me if there is any.

      Abhifusion,

I ride a Machismo LB500 with a 320mm front disc brake. Needless to say, the disc brake is very grabby. This, combined with ribbed tyres at front is a perfect recipe for a front wheel lock up leading to a nasty skid. I got the ABS a couple of weeks ago and my front brake feels much more progressive. The front wheel hasn't locked even once since then and it worked well even when I was offroading around the Lohgad fort. Meanwhile, I am planning a rear disc on my bull, for which I will be buying one more ABS from Saferide. Overall, a very positive experience so far.

      Cheers,

      Jay

i have been using it for quite sometime now.. around 3k kms now.. i feel more confident when braking on any kind of surface now.. it has actually saved me quite a few number of times, as i got more confident coz of these and was driving more recklessly.. to my surprise i found the rear brake to be very very effective when compared to the stock condition.. also i was able to steer impressively under hard braking, which saved my life once.. i feel the pumping action of the brakes has improved a lot..
i exactly dont know what that small gold color thing does.. all i know is it has improved my braking ability and that is what i want..

PS- no more stoppies coz of it..
