    CBZ Jets

    I own a cbz 2000 model and have done the following mods
    1. Piston rings, have been changed and I have put factory CBZ classic piston rings.
    2. Clutch plates were badly worn out, So replaced them yet with factory CBZ classic clutch plates.
    3. Polished the head and gasket assembly and shaved off 0.7mm(EXACTLY)
    4. Did a normal polish to exhaust outlet in the engine, and also the carburettor intake.
    5. Sealed the entire engine block with 3 bond rubber paste.
    6. Using Petronas Sprinta 4T Fully systnetic oil, 10W40 grade.
    7. Fixed an K&N airfilter in the airfilter box, and have removed the sponge material and from the airfilters box which covers the other side of the filter, I have removed it it to mainatin free flow of air to the k&n filter.

    Can I put the ZMA jets? What difference in performance it would make? Keeping in mind the mods i have done?

      Wow! You have done more than enough changes in the engine.

      Well, CBZ aka CRF 150 comes with main jet ranging from 98 to max 110 in different countries. Some even try 115 but that would make it rich. In India it comes with No. 105.

      ZMA jet will kill the top range.

      No other jet than No. 105(CBZ) and 125 (ZMA) is available in India.

      Also, all this polishing is just not required till 10,000 rpm. Also, as the same head is employed in bigger 223 cc ZMA, it can easily handle any flow in CBZ till 10k rpm.

        Can the zma jet be fitted on to a p220 carb? it runs on 115

          From what I understand, Keihin jets are smaller than Mikuni jets by 13-14 size. So, a ZMA Keihin jet No. 125 is equall to 111-112 jet of Mikuni jets used in Pulsar range. Make your decision.

          But jets alone are not responsible for power increase.

            I am planning to put a free flow on the carb, was just wondering about bigger jets.

                I was referring to any polishing of intake and exhaust value pathways which are directly related to flow of gases in and out.

                  Well alright. Well i think i wont be going for zma jets, as running the mixture lean would definately decrease the mileage. And I am having this problem already, With current jet, Trying to be as accurate as possible. It was giving me 35kms/ltr and now i have rejetted again and now its finally its giving 50kms/ltr. The mixture was running very lean previously. And tech i had one more query my cbz's front end is vibrating, i.e.. the ferring and also the handle bar shakes at idle 1400rpm on the left side and not on the right side. Driving at 6000+rpm I am able to hear a loud noise coming from the ferring. Now i know that cbz classic are prone to vibrating problems but this is in excess. Cant diagnoise the sound is of ferring or the head light assembly or the speedometer/revometer assembly! Please Help!

                    A castrol bike zone owner in pune at shivaji nagar has 115 size jets for the cbz. He says they are the imports? Senior Bhpians and Bhpians please throw some some kight on 115 jet size. I decided not to go for zma jets as they are 125. Are these import jets worth the money? What would be the impact on the air/fuel mixture? 350 buck's is what the quoted price is! Keep posting!

                      there is one more solution rather than just a jeting...

                      go for bigger carbs get hh hunk/xtreme/unicorn carb & strap it on with all the connected materials like breather, throttle position sensors etc......

                      but in the hunk & xtreme it is 128 main jets in uni it is 115 jets.........

                      if u still opt for jetting uni has 115 jets which should not cost more than Rs.150/-.........

                        by the way i forgot to ask one thing....

                        wat is the size of zma carb & the constuction is some wat diff from other carbs.......

                        pls mention the size of zma carbs....

                              The zma has 125 sized jets. I guess da older zma's had 128 sized jets. But still it doesnt make ny big diffrence. The carb n everything would cost a world. If i were 2 2 put in da entire carb den why not fuel injection 1? N above all. The cbz n zma's comes from 1 roof. So mechanically dey r twins. While the cbz-x, hunk n uni r twins n come from same roof. So if i try 2 put da crab of hunk, cbz-x or uni 4 dat matter wud mess up da entire air/fuel 2 da engine.
