  • Change in riding postion

    Good afternoon.

Guys i have a 2006 Unicorn. Been more than three years since. I am way too happy n content with the over all performance of my bike. Just wanna make one single change in which i need your help :

    - I wanna Change the riding position.
    - Want to Make it more 'Front Weighted' like the pulsar rather than the way it is 'Center Weighted'.
    - Will changing the front spoke 18'' rim with an alloy 17'' one make a difference ?
    - And what if i change the stock handle bar to the one from the pulsar (which is short) ?
    - Do i need to do anything to the front forks ?
    - Is there anything else that can be done to make this change happen ??

Guys do let me know soon.......
im waiting for your responses anxiously.....

    Thankyou.

yeah changing alloy to 17" one will help you as it will reduce the front height by 1 inch,
you can try Apache Clip-ons if you want a Sporty Leaning position, but it needs some mods on front fork,
don't modify it much because it will directly affect on weight distribution and handling,
you can try to get rear monoshock adjusted to a bit higher position (if it is adjustable)

this is it from my side

        Thanks for the reply bud.
Even i have the same thought about the front Alloy cause of which im gettin a new one.
As far as the clip-ons are considered its a 'no no' (thanx for the suggestion) for me cause i tour a lot too and it will be too lean n stressing, it is why i enlisted the pulsar's handle bar.
But what about the fork modifications ? What modifications can possibly done ?
Cause rear mono has no adjustability option so im left alone with the fork only for a change.

try P200 or FZ' handlebar ,
          its a semiflat one,
so will give you a less stresseut but a bit lean position,

can't say much about uni, as i had FZ,
but i think you can get it adjusted from near the handlebar,
i 'll suggest yot to not to play with it much,
          coz it will affact handling...

Neither will the pulsar's nor FZ's handlebar fit on the unicorn... i have personally tried both the options before going for a aftermarket clip-on's... The unicorn's tank is too big both the handle bars keep hitting the tank

after posting this reply i thought the same,
coz in FZ there is air scoops,
              which is not in Uni,

so no other option then getting a custom semi-flat one..
              or some Jugaad...

if u happen to change to 17" , keep an eye on speedo issue .ur current speedo will then no longer work correctly.

                      :All,

                      Thanx very much guys.
well the handle bar im referring here is of the 180 n 150's not 200 coz 200 has a semi flat one right ? n moreover i totally forgot to ask that when i swap the front spoke to alloy then what about the disc, will the older one fit or else i have to change that too ?
and wherein talkin about the footpegs, what is the actual suggestion ???
Once again waiting for all your responses.....

                      Thankyou once again.

Don't try to change it to other brands that will affect overall handling and breaking after effects. Today i got a call from HMSI gurgaon since I too have raised same query. They said u can change to new gen Uni's handle bar if u desire some sportiness.

And check with alloys specifications if your disc can fits into i.e. size of disc in mm.
