Guys,

I'm planning (just plan till i get my leave approved) a solo ride (15 days) from Noida to Leh (via Manali) on my Unicorn. just have few related queries:

1) Climate-wise is mid September would be apt time to start off? Since road closes by mid of October.

2) I have got Michelin Sirac (deep treads) tyre at rear. Will it take on the expected terrain during September water & slush/ any experience?

3) Do i really need to carry tent along?

I have done quite a few long & short (4-5 days) solo ride in & around Himachal i.e. towards Bilapsur (HP), Shimla, Narkanda- Hatu peak, Tatta paani (HP) and Chandigarh.
