  • Rajasthan: Help with Itinerary

Hey guys, I am planning of doing a bike trip to Rajasthan this November. Now I could do the usual Jaipur, Udaipur, Jaisalmer, etc, etc. but I wanted to do some real hardcore not often visited places as a part of my itinerary. I would be starting from Bombay. Dont get me wrong, these cities are definitely on my itinerary but I would like to visit some other smaller towns as well - but I am not aware of any nice places. So for all you guys who have done trips in rajasthan, I would greatly appreciate it if you all could throw in some inputs. Also my target would be complete the whole trip within 8-9 days and be back to Bombay.

    Thanks!

Ajmer could be on your list. It's a nice beautiful place ... Pushkar is nearby too ...

There's Sai Baba Temple, Dargah, Phithviraj Chauhan Smarak, etc. and it's surrounded by parts of Aravali ranges all around ...

BTW I enjoy being in Ajmer, except that not much real bikers around here ... So, what do you say?

If my geography serves me correct, if he is coming from Bombay, he can visit Kota and Bundi on the way or on the way back.

Please go on Ken The kind of places you mentioned are exactly the kind of places I like to visit, I am not the textbook tourist and hate commercialised destinations - although the major cities will be definitely covered. Varun, Samarth, Akshaye, thanks a ton for the help you guys offered. If my trip does come fruitful I will definitely make it a point to visit you guys on the way, if possible plz drop me your cell numbers via PM.

Also I would appreciate it if any of you guys could guide me with the sequence so that logistically I can cover everything. I would be entering Rajasthan from Ahmedabad - I think there is a nice highway that runs from Ahmedabad to Jaipur... Its time to fish out my Eicher Road Atlas I think

Drumster - Please check this link http://www.rajasthantourpackages.net/your_own_tour.php

It has loads of information on Rajasthan and they are into touring. I was looking for something on the Internet and found them.

There is a option " Create your Own Tour " You can give that a try.

                    Cheers
