I just gave in my 2005 CBZ* (51k km old)for a small engine overhaul and the mech told me that the rocker arm(s) and camshaft needs to be replaced. Now parts are a little scarce here and all he could find is a rocker arm. What he suggests is that he would 'lift' the part from a CBZ parked there in the shop for a long time and put it in my bike. Although I strongly disagreed, but thinking the time it would take, I gave my consent for a temporary fit.

I need to know if I should take precautions while revving the bike after the job is done. I am heading for a long ride and need to kep my bike in the eighties for long periods. Do I need to do ride the bike in normal conditions for some days before driving constantly at, say, 7000 rpm?
