hay bro nice idea to go for k&n a/f
1>yes you can install k&n in your p220 the k&n a/f models for p220 is
      rc-1060---1700rs...+250rs on jetting

2>my opinion you can install k&n after your bike has done 5000-6000 km but install it when your bike warranty is over yes your warranty will void but i think not in hero honda

3>not familer with chennai but any performance shops will do.

4>up jetting means to increase the size of jet (main jet only) more then the normal size it increases the fuel flow in the carb... I think p220's jet is big enough no need to do up jeting or you can find the biggest jet available in market...

      have a safe ride....cheers

The 220 needs a R1100, the RC1060 is a bit too small for it.

I would advise you to keep ur bike as much stock as possible. Atleast ride ur bike for 10K kms, before think of doing stuff like letting dirt into your engine!

Of course up-jetting will be needed. And you won't find anything in the market. If you manage to get hold of some tuners, they may be able to source it. Else either drill out the existing jet or order one online.

Why are you after this K&N thing? Doesn't the P220 performance satisfy you? If you don't know what you are doing, its is very easy to degrade performance and destroy engine life.
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

+1001 (P220 is the most powerful and fastest as well)

K and N air filter issue

I have installed K & N R 1100 air filter....I have tried jets of size 132 but the bike used to give jerks after 6000 rpm..the initial pick up was good but the high range was worse...Can anyone suggest me which size of jet should I use?
