    accessories in chennai??

    hey guys,
    i wz wondering if anyone could help me out in finding a bike accessories outlet or something here in chennai.. i'm kinda new to the place so needed some help... i own an r15 and recently had an accident, pretty bad one.. so i thought i would giv the bike a makeover or something... wht i hav in mind is an ngk iridium sparkplug, some light works and some stickering job... would really appreciate if anyone could help... btw i stay in kilpauk...

      Well you can try out CBX-Racing in Roypettah owned by a guy named aweas (as far as i remember). Otherwise to get parts for your bike you can walk into any yamaha showroom. And well if you are ready to spend then there is this place called Hi-Rev near koyembedu, they do amazingly good jobs, i know from experience coz had bought my gypsy from there, but they sure are costly.

          Hi there,

          Your 1 stop solution is GP Road. You seem to be new to chennai? GP road is right after Melody theatre and behind Mount Road.

          You can get NGK at Hardeep's and stickering can be done in loads of other shops at the same street. Hardeeps is a shop which comes on your left prob 100 M into this road. It is a 1 way btw, so to exit you will have to head back to Mount Road.

          In case you want AGV helmets please step into Shri Padham which is just after Hardeep's on the left.

            Help for pulsar 220 carb version !!

            Guys i got pulsar 220 2009 edition and i would like to buy and install K and N ! I live n chennai can you all tell me which is the best place for it . ! and my second service is due in sometime and is it recommended to change the engine oil , if so which is the best and what is the cost of it


            And not just that guys .... its rainy season ! I am kinda fed up wheneva i take my bike in the rain and my shoes get really dirty , i mean to say ... i had 180 before and I had engine guard which dint protect the engine but protected my legs .. atleast 50 % of it ! jus would like to know is ther any alternative solution for it ??

                Dude, please service your bike with the Probiking Authorised Service Center. I'm not insisting on this because of their anything but brilliant servicing capabilities but only so that you do not loose your warranty. During the warranty period, you have to get bikes serviced at authorised Bajaja service centers or it can void your warranty.

                In terms of engine oil I am not really aware, others can direct you.

                you can purchase K&N filter for your bike at Hardeep's in GP road, it will cost you 1600 + Labor charges as he will immediately fix it for you.

                As for the rain, live with it man Or get yourself gum boots and ride. I use a more practical approach, I keep my shoes in office and ride bike with slip ons. Make sure you roll up your pant so that it does not get drenched. When you approach a puddle of water simply place your legs on the engine guard.

                  Hey guys,
                  Jus one more thing.. Remember i mentioned earlier abt the accident... Well i had a lot of parts changed.. And there's a pretty noticable difference in the color shades of the new parts.. It looks pretty odd... Any ideas? Hw much wld an overall paintjob cost? Wld it b necessary?.. And btw, its a maroon R15...

                    awesome and congrats.I amsure you like your bike a lot so why ruin it with the air filters.my call is keep the bike as close as possible to stock condition.as far asoil is concerned either go to the show room or get 20 w 50 grade of engine oil.this is not easily available but ensure you fill the proper grade.

                    regarding the rain question- stay at home else you will be wet.- learn to enjoy it.

                        hello guys,
                        i've been thinking of installing an aftermarket airfilter and sparkplug for my r15.. i can install the ngk iridium plugs myself bt i've been checkin out a lot on the net for airfilters but in vain..
                        i read somewhere tht a biker had installed k&n r1100 for his r15 and all he did for adjusting the air:fuel ratio is disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, and the ECU adjusted itself... is this true? if it is, is there any other adjustment to be made? and plz guys, wld appreciate if anyone helpd me in the paint issue i mentioned earlier...

                            guys where can i find a good reliable painting shop in chennai,,i stay abroad ,once in a while i get bak to chennai...so i don't find time in searching for painting shops..it will be helpful if u guys guide me...
