      Not an R15 owner..
but, why don't you just go ahead and drop a mail OR directly contact to yamaha, saying how come you got 2008 model?
you will know the truth, if it is dealer's fault or not ..

              Dear Jiten,

As till date, my brother's ZMA never posed a major issue but as being discussed in "service centre woes" thread, HH showroom guys have cheated us on service-part. Now-a-days, we are getting servicing done through Castrol Bike Zone but that too are not worthy as Castrol mechanics are not any particular company trained mecs so they will do same kind of treatment to all bikes.... be it a Yam or HH or Pulsar.

I'm looking for a good mechanic in Hyd even for my FZ & ZMA...
You must be the change you wish to see in the world

                Dear thunderbird_m6,

But in my case, The Yamaha showroom dealer give me assurance that all the warranty and service you will get as other Yamaha bikes get.

Apart from that, I check my service book and found that the free service available. In short till now, it seem everything Ok.

I asked in ORKUT form, there is one guys who purchase old color R15 in march 2009, but he has also same issue (Engine model 2008)

Hmmm I don't think you should be too worried about this. The showroom should recognize the warranty from the day the bike was delivered. This date should there on the receipt/delivery chalan you got when you took delivery of the bike.
