hi friends,
I purchased a apache RTR fi on 9th june 2009 . bike reg num - TN 20 BW 8388 . The bike was fine for the first 2 months . But after that prob started .
first prob faced - aug 19 th...
the bikes idling RPM automatically started gng down below 100 rpm to around 600 rpm and the bike started stopping in the middle of the road
went to service centre called SVS motors (ambattur estate - Chennai) , and the adjsuted idling manually .. but it caused another prob where the bike when accelerated slowly till 3000 rpm and throttle released , the bike stayed at 3000 rpm itself and didnt come back to the idling RPM. they asked me to leave the bike and take it the next day.. the next day they called and said the bike is not ready so asked me to take it on 21 st aug...
but i was not able to take it back on 21st aug .. so i went there on 22nd aug ..
when i got the bike the next day.. the bike's stopping prob was rectified but the rpm started staying at 3000 rpm when accelerated.. when i asked the dealor abt it he said it will get ok if i ride it for some time...
they didnt give me any bill for this.. and at first they said they will charge for it.. when i shouted at them they said they will do it for free
next - 28 th aug ...
the bikes speedo meter stopped working i took the bike to the service centre and they asked me to come back the next day again.. i went there they asked me to leave my bike's manual book and they replaced the cable . and i went later and got back the book from them,
third - 6 th sept
i had a work at a place some 30 kms away from my home and i took my bike out 2 km into my jouney the bike started choking and the idling RPM fell back to 600 rpm or some thing and the bike stopped midway .. then with great difficulty i rode the bike to the service centre ,,they said they dont have the computer to check my bike and they asked me to take the bike to Goodwill automobiles, anna nagar chennai.
i really cant understand if they dont have the facility to service the bike why do u let them sell it.. ( bajaj doesnt sell its 220 Fi in all showrooms there is only one place in chennai where u can get it)
i took the bike to Good will and they asked me to come back in the evening at 6..
i went at 6pm and the bike was fine i rode it back home...
FOURTH - today (12 - sept)
the bike stopped again .. idling RPm falling down to less than 800 rpm the bike chokes and stalls...
i called the service centre and he asked me to bring the bike tomo....
i am really fed up with this bike....
it has nothing like QUALITY or RELAIBILTy in it....
i have lost hope with this bike..
