Most service centres are not owned by Bajaj, its actually the onus of the service provider to give you good service.
I have tried Aundh svc, wakdewadi SVC on my pulsar 150 and this is the 3rd in Pune...FC road PBK SVC..especially designed for PBK bikes...!
Tried Sanghi Bajaj, Bajaj service station and surjeet bajaj in Bhopal...!

    All are the same...!

That being said, Bajaj or for that matter any manufacturer must have a quality check mechanism in place to monitor the service being provided to customers.

Btw, you say you have written many times? Did they not act on it? I've gotten a good response whenever I have writtent to bajaj or honda regarding their products that I own. Are you following the proper channels of communication?
The mail IDs given by them is the only way to contact them...
Now call them proper or improper....!

And whenever their is a feedback I have to fill, after test riding their bikes...I do not fail tom ention about their service..!

    Anyway,
Can anybody clear the lesser engine oil issue..!
By any chance, can a brand new engine drink 300ml of oil...
    Is their any logic involved...?

Second, what would be the cost of HP, MAK 20w 50 engine oils...
    Motul I know is 210..!

Third, I urge everybody visiting these SVCs (especially the FC road PBK) to check the bill amount and ask for clarifications for whatever they have added...
As they said, they charge everybody those 20-30 rs for battery and other tidbits.......wonder how many have paid so far and got looted...!

You do not have any other way buddy when your bike is under warranty.....

Given a chance, I would love to tow my bike 50 kms...than go to a Bajaj service station..!

Even I've suffered severely through hands of Venkatesa Yamaha here in Hyd, my FZ is still under warranty & battery gave me very had time since past 30-45days, actually my battery charging got downed & I was pushing & starting bike everywhere. People were looking me at me saying "Kya hua, latest model hai na yeh toh" !!!!!

I go to svc, they put my battery to charging full nite & returns me nextday, same damn things they did to me for a good 3-4 times in last couple of weeks before giving me a letter to get it replaced. I was almost 90% sure of selling away my FZ which till date I've never ripped or gone hard on acceleration part, bcoz I love my bike & always ride her very deliberately.

Here in Bangalore anyone with a P200 or a P220 or the Avy 200 will have nightmares with services. There are only 2 PBK service centers, both are Khivraj branched.

Khivraj are, in my opinion, THE most retarded and unscrupulous establishment that it has been my misfortune to encounter. While fixing one problem the idiots will create two more.

If indeed, the Bajaj officials read through this forum, kindly shift PBK to some other franchise. The customers will be MUCH happier.

IMO, Khivraj should be blown up. I would have done it had I got the required explosives.

Agreed on the generic bit. However when a service center carries the '"Authorized" tag, the Onus is on Baja, HH etc. for such endorsement and should make sure the service center provides services as per their policy & standard.

                  DAY 5 update

                  The bike has started knocking......
It seems their is very less torque availble between 1-2k rpm
Fairing has started vibrating even more
                  Engine has become harsher
                  Gearing has become harder.....!

Mileage first reported was 48 kmpl...which has come down to 42kmpl which is expected and I expect it to between 35-40kmpl, henceforth

Bike has done a little less than 1000 kms on the odo...
Top speed of 80 just once...

99% of the times the bike has run under 4k rpm....!

Yups, this was in my mind and I am waiting for my bike to complete running in period.
If the conditions prevail, I would not even hesitate to mail Rajiv Bajaj...and Joseph Abraham....

Host of Complaints against my P220 DTSi and Shirode Bajaj Pune

                      Hi,

This is Saad Mohammad Khan, unfortunately a victim of your pathetic service, a software engineer by profession, currently working in Pune and a ~2.5 month old Pulsar 220 DTSi owner and a biking blog writer. Would have completed 3500 kms by the time you respond to this mail.
                      Coming to the point straightaway:

I have been facing umpteen number of problems in my bike. Please find them listed:

                      1) Engine Oil Leakage from the slot of neutral switch: Facing this issue from time immemorial, have visited Shirode Bajaj,Pune for six (or seven) consecutive Saturdays for its rectification. Initially they said, its the problem of smaller O-ring. Since that time they have changed O-rings (big and small) six times. Additionally, they tried to block the oil leakage by the use of a sealant (now is this what one should expect from a professional company), taped it with some white colored tape and have changed the neutral switch as well. The good news is, engine oil continues to find its way out.

                      2) Vibrating Fairing: Have reported this umpteen number of times to the service center. Vibrations have increase manifold with each passing service. All your so called service center guys say is "Sir thoda to vibrate karega!". Shall I speak more about it?

                      3) Bumpy Ride: As and when I ride my bike on plain roads, the bike seems to be bumping over something (or wobbling). It seems that the bike is running over a consecutive series of minuscule bumps. Initially, I thought it bears resemblance to high air pressure, but I tried every combination (of air pressure) and needless to say; problem continues.

                      4) Harsh Engine: The company recommended oil change interval is 4.5-5k kms, still I got my oil changed at 2600kms as on my previous oil, the bike felt it would break away to pieces after 5k rpm. Even after changing oil, the engine is pretty harsh and extremely un-fun to ride at anything above 5k rpm.

                      5) Disc Brakes: They screech sometimes!

Now coming to some service center ( Shirode Bajaj Pune) related issues:

                      1) Extremely Rude and rowdy behaviour: They have been extremely rude in my case.

                      2) Do not have even a zilch of knowledge: The mechs do not even know basic functionalities and they brag the customer giving them all sort of bluff and bullshit

                      3) Wrong Charge : They have been charging (Labor tax) for free service. Apart from other false charges.

                      4) Fool Customers; I have a few incidents to narrate along with a few pics, but may be when time demands!

Although I have kept my wordings limited to the bare minimum just to ensure my point reaches you all. Now comes the main part which I request you to read properly and with all eyes open.

I have had enough of "sir please give us a LAST chance to rectify your issues". This time I want to hear from a person who takes up the responsibility of everything. Moreover, if things and your response do not feel satisfactory to me, I might be compelled to take up this issue in a manner unpleasing to the company as a whole.

                      Regards,

                      Saad M Khan

Saad, That's a pretty bad experience.....I suggest you to take the matter directly to Bajaj HQ, Pune, it may cost you a day, but I am sure there will be some one who can understand the plight of customer....good luck. Send the xbhp link to them for thier reference...

.........whatever it may be....sounds to me a manufacturing defect than a svc issue...post some pics brother ?

                          +1

One of the most important thing we are missing in the discussion is product quality....the product should be well built and checked well before selling them....if this is followed 90% of svc center related issues can be sorted out.... some of the issues saad has mentioned is pure manufacturing issues, and I don't blame this on svc center at all...and observe that issue remains inspite of changing the part in question 1/2 a dozen time !!

IMHO, all SVC centres are the same. I too had timing chain issues on my new ZMA. The SVC ppl coud not resolve even after repeated attempts.

Wrote a mail to HH, they immediate responsed. Read the mail i wrote by clicking here

However, i am facing the same timing chain noise again Dunno what to do!

Better learn to live it! Unless you have enough time visiting the SVC again and again.
