Retrofitting projector + HID on GS150R

Yep, my question was whether the 'projector' can sustain the heat, and not the reflector. As per one person who has fitted this projector in his car, Skoda projector is initially a 55w halogen one only. So I think this shold easily take the heat.
Glad to have these doubts cleared out. Now begins the hunt for headlight beam!

I am myself looking for a head light upgrade on my suzuki fiero. Could some one help me with what all I would need. I have absolutely no idea about the technical terms, types of HIDs or Projectors. I just need a Projector for high beam.**MaSh**

Projector for high beamOriginally posted by MaSh View PostI am myself looking for a head light upgrade on my suzuki fiero. Could some one help me with what all I would need. I have absolutely no idea about the technical terms, types of HIDs or Projectors. I just need a Projector for high beam.
Take a low beam projector in Shivajinagar Junk, chop off the shutter in it and it will become low/high beam together. You gotta do homework on how you will mount the projector in your headlight unit.

I got a broken pulsar headlight today. The front glass is missing, so the practise of removing the glass from the assembly is postponed. I am currently just playing with it to get general idea about the construction and possible insertion of the projector.
The reflector will come out it seems, giving out enough space in back to fit the projector with little or no cutting. Few questions on this front:
1. How many screws are holding the pulsar headlight (the new one) to the dome? I unscrewd one big one, but still something is holding it in.
2. How to make the fitting weather proof? The stock has some kind of rubber at back for making it weather proof. Any ideas on this, considering the projector hangs considerably at the back?
3. How will only black headlight with the projector protruding look? Shold I try cutting the reflector as well? But it could get messy!
I am taking Abhijeet's statement by word, that converting a H4 connector to H3 is a simple job for a tecnhician!
Wish me luck guys. After trying on pulsar and if it is sucessful, then next steps will be:
1. fitting GS (eigher some accident vehicle dome or my own) with the projector
2. converting H4 to H3 and running a conventional bulb for a few days to check the working
3. Converting the bike to DC and changing the pilots to LEDs.
4. HID.

And one thing, as H3 is a single filament bulb, you will lose the low beam. The hi/lo beam control now rests with the projector shield.Originally posted by animeher View PostI got a broken pulsar headlight today. 1)There are no screws holding the reflector in the head lamp assy, instead there are two ball socket arrangements which is exactly in the center horizontaly which helps to move the reflector up & down, and one ball socket fixed to a screw which is seen from the back, basically to align the beam.
2)You have to figure out a way to fix the same rubber which houses the P4 stock bulb assy, or else just seal out the gaps with some silicon gel.
3)Risky job, no ideas!Keep rollin

Depends on ur bargaining skills, quality and size of projectors.Originally posted by gauravbalu View Postthanks will check out there... how much should i pay i get one?
I paid 650rs for the Benz Projectors and 300 for Skoda projectors.
Don't buy the Benz one because sourcing the bulb for it is too tough. It comes with D2S type and its HID not bulb. In JC road checked many car decors for D2S type and they said they can get it on order and that i ll ve to buy a pair
