        We're all hiding.

It's generally located at the top of the engine under the valve cover.

Since this is an OHC engine, you'll see the camshaft, two rocker arms and under each of these arms there's the valve stem. The clearance between the valve stem and the bottom of the rocker arm is what needs to be set properly. Generally there's a small nut at that end of the rocker arm to adjust the clearance (at least that's what I saw in a Honda Shine engine). You need a feeler set to measure the clearance. A feeler set is a bunch of thin metal strips each with a known thickness. A mechanic should know or look up the required clearance, adjust the tappet and check with the feeler gauge.

Check if the valve clearance values are mentioned in the manual too!
If you are experiencing a loose marbles or ghanti sort of sound in idling, you know its gotta be the tappets.

Bro not a major problem go to any authorized bajaj workshop ask them to tighten the tappet they will do with out any charge...get it done fast other wise your engine valve will be destroyed and note don't ride your bike at high speed other wise the problem will become serious get it tighten fast
Recently i was also facing same problem...so get it repaired....
1>this happen when you tend to drive your bike very roughly
2>they are situated above the engine below the petrol tank....
the mechanic will tighten the tappet only when your bikes engine is cool...

i dont drive rashly...most of the time my bike speed remains around 60-70 ..at times 80-90..
this prob has showed up recently....it got rectified on the 2nd service..but it has showed up agin now..! really annoying...it seems like bike is not pulling enough..and even on a slight twist in the throttle...i hear tak tak sound..then it will disappear ..then it can be heard when the bike is doing 60-70 speeds

Bro here rashly means driving bike a lot for long time.....bike tend to heat up when the tappet is loose....past 5 days i have driven 1000km now you would be knowing that how much i ride now the same problem is coming again.... so when i will give my bike for service i will get it tighten then....
this is bajaj's drawback..the tappet looses very early....even LML bikes were suffering with same problem....so don't panic bro go to workshop and get it fix...
