            this is interesting stuff.

I wanna know if you guys are doing something to the suspension as well. i rode a friends 4k kms old 220, and the front was so soft compared to my R15, that i could not control the bike confidently, it was bouncing too much over a wavy road. though the road comfort was way ahead of the R 15.

Guys... Work is still in progress.... It takes time and patience.... We have left d bike totally intact... We havnt touched a thing on the stock. Whatever mods we are doing its on the brand new parts(dats one reason its taking more time)... And those guys are bearing the cost. If i want, i can go completely stock.... My own stock condition.

The work is near completion.... (1st phase)

It is producing nearly 4-5 bhp more than stock.... And mind u... Its on stock Camshaft !!!!!!!!!!!

High lift cams are for phase 2.

We are yet to decide which profile to go for. If we go for 290 n all it will idle very high.... Lets see, ill let dem decide. The guy whoz doing my bike worked in UK for 6 yrs in d same business... Dey hav done R1s to Mercs !!

I wish i cud tell u wat all we hav done 2 my bike !!! I wish !! But dey will kill me if i do... We dont want another 220 like mine.

Havent yet ridden d bike.... Will lay my hands on it soon...

              Wish me luck.

After phase 2 those guys expect it to be the fastest bike in India in its class !!!

I will write a complete review of d bike in a new thread... With pics, videos everything once the work is complete. But dont ask for MOD details.

@charles.chip: hey charles... the stock tyres on the P220 may be better than the previous pulsar tyres... but get a really good pair of Pirellis or Michelins for ur bike... pirellis tend to last longer.

a good set of tyres make a huge difference.

                  I put a 150x60x17 Pirelli MATCH-08 on my pulsar...
soft compound rubber... sticks like velcro... really improved braking...
the back wheel never gives out under really hard braking...
                  sweeping corners are a breeze.

My Pirelli lasted about 15 months.

Looking out for a new set of Pirellis now... haven't found a good set in Bombay yet.

I'm back on the P220 MRF Zappers now...

After having ridden on Pirellis all this while... the stock P220 MRFs are a comparatively... a real downgrade.

Give it a try... you won't regret it... and you'll know exactly what i mean.

                    @ xionite:

i was reely happy wid d stock tyres... 80% of d breaking comes from d frnt wheel, derz hardly any feel in rear breaking.... So m not sure if i shud change d rear tyres.... although i Will surely reconsider it if i feel d need for more grip n control after d mod...

220 carb is d best in breaking among R15, RTR, ZMA (as claimed by BiKe India magazine).

Lets see if stock tyres can handle d extra power n extra breaking.

Thanks a lot for d advise though, i really appriciate it.

                        @ charles.chip

I hope you can consider changing teh sprockets...
with that added bhp you have got accleration, changing sprockets will better the top end...

Hey Charles, can U think those guys can bring some serious power upgrade to FZs as well bcoz these bikes are the 'only macho bikes' in our country but lacks the punch when it comes to Performance. Plz make this people come open on X-bhp as many will benefit from them as per the mods they are tuning into your 220. If their mods are safe & reliable, then why not U make them FAMOUS over-night once your 220 comes out of their hands with more power.
