  • Need help with Kinetic ZX

    Hi Guys,

I bought a 99 model Kinetic ZX for my wife. I need any help in getting a user manual for this model.

    Thanks.

The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

What is it that you want in the manual ? Are u looking out for something specific, if yes post it here and im sure the team will be able to help u out. Getting the manual for a 99 ZX is close to impossible.

True, ripper.. it is not easy to get with it but i am very new to this bike, kinetic so what few information like follows:

          1. i was told that we do not have to mix oil with petrol while filling her up. I thought 2 strokes usually have oil mixed with petrol. Correct me if i am wrong.

          2. if oil is to be used seperately, please recommend the best one. i heard of Kinetic Ultra 2T.. is it worth.

          3. how frequently should oil be changed as this is a pretty old bike.

1> True. The kinetic ZX has a separate tank for the 2T oil unlike some 2 strokes. Have the oil pump checked once by a good mech and all will be good, hence you dont need to fill 2T mix fuel in it.

2> Stick to the kinetic oil (White Can), its good but slightly expensive than others available in the market.

3> If im not mistaken there are 2 types of oil that go in the ZX, one is engine oil and the other is transmission oil. Engine oil should be changed every 1500 kms, not sure abt the transmission oil... a mech would be able to help u out with that.

Using Kinetic oil will simply mean you are buying an average oil and paying extra for royalty. You could use any 2t. Just check up on the 2t oil thread or elsewhere on the net to know about the better ones.

Transmission oils usually have a pretty long life. Sorry, I don't know exactly how long it is for the Kinetic. Thats why you need the manual. You might be able to get a soft copy somewhere on the net... if some user has been nice enough to scan it.
