  • Stunner FI vs Carb

Hi guys i own a stunner carb version.....im all prasies for it,i love it,but i hate it that when it comes to top end speed it pants out in front of gladi
I luv the acc. it gives but the noise and vibes above 70 are very irritating.rec,in a review of new Pgm fi ver of stunner i read that the bike can carry over to higher speeds w/o much difficulty, the noise and vibes been sorted out.also this was not due to the fi but due to the taller gearing.
Fi And Carb differin perf. only by half a bhp or Nm,and Fi produces it at 500rpm less.I thik this is not that significant.since i mostly travel on highways,i crave more for top end whack than that 0-60 timings.so is it possible to change my rear sprocket to the one for Fi ver.,which has one tooth less,so that i can have a taller gearing??can any1 brief me about the advantages and disadvantages of a taller gearing??economically and performance wise??all suggestions are welcome.....

Yes, most definitely, you can try the smaller sprocket from the Fi. This shall help you cruise somewhat relaxed.
I once witnessed a Stunner with typical goggled college boys on the Pune Satara Highway maintain a constant 100 KMPH. I was in my car and was impressed by the way it was going; stressed it may be but keeps rollin.

You can go for it and I feel this would in turn return a better mileage as well...along with a better top end ..

"cylinder blocks and piston" of unicorn may be direct fit on it and believe me gearing on low cc bike is such that when u increase cc, torque will be immense! as there is more reduction in rev per transmission stages! both share same crankshaft! do this and u got a nice 150 cc !

Put bar-end weights and sprocket from FI Stunner. It will help immensely in reducing vibes (not completely eliminating; still FI stunner has vibes) and gaining higher speeds (100kmph only).
