  • Bikes gets heated & stops after making noise

I have a passion bike and engine work was done in it. I am suggested to drive it at the speed of 30-40 and i drive it at 35-50 as lower than that is not possible.
But after 8-10 kms of driving, it gets heated, start making noise and stops and i need to wait for 5-10 mins. to get it ready to be driven again.
Is it a serious problem with Piston etc. ? Is the Auto repair guy careless about something? or should i just wait till 500 kms and get it serviced to solve this issue? Will it not create any serious problem?

He didn't even clock 500 KMs after the engine work. Engine oil... yes, there is a chance that it got burnt or evaporated... but why???

The bore job might not have been done properly. Possibly, the required amount of gap didn't come in and the bore & piston movement is tight. That produces more noise, more heat and screws up everything. Please get that rectified ASAP.

Have the bike checked by a competent mech. As per your description its seems that the piston is moving tight in the cylinder which on expansion is rubbing the bore. Secondly check the oil level, dont want to say this but i have heard of mechs forgetting to fill in oil after woking on engines, do have it checked Asap. As an advice refrain from riding long before rectifying the issue. Good Luck.
