Most desi bikes have very flimsy locks and expert thieves can break them in minutes .If you want additional security then buy a Disc lock that will fit in your front brake and will prevent your bike getting stolen to a large extent .

Install Autocop Security, however Bajaj may not give warranty if electrical component fails, it happened for us in Khivraj - Bangalore.

You could install some security alarm devices & also put wheel lock

PS: Watch polladhavan movie in Tamil...It came out as a story of Pulsar rather than something ..

These things are rampant at my place (Assam). Here mostly Pulsars are targeted as it is rumored that their engine makes best boat engines in Bangladesh! Other bikes too have same flimsy locks but are not touched generally due to the aforementioned reason.

Only things to be done is to fit disc lock in the front and a chain lock in the rear wheel. Security systems that sells in India are jokes. Thieves can easily disable them.

And even after doing all these, make sure you have a secure garage. At night, bikes are simply lifted into trucks and taken away, locks and all!

And generally they don't bother with bikes older than a year.

And one thing, it takes just a jolt to break the handlebar locks. I have seen with my own eyes. Just a 1 min job!

suppose i install i alarm in my pulsar220dtsi and keep it activated all night(about 12hours or so), will my bike face any starting problems the next morning? i mean its quite a lot of battery discharge isn't it?
