  • [Help]: Can I fit 5 ah battery in my RX 135?

    Hi All

    I have RX 135 4S.

I would like to change the currently battery to powerful one.

I enquired with the battery shop guy and he said it is possible by doing some small mods.

Please suggest me a good battery for my bike with 5 ah.

What modification would this require in terms of accomodating a bigger size underneath the seat?

The other question is : I have 135 5S switch system on to my bike since the stock switch got worn out over the years. If it is possible to fit 5 ah battery on to my bike, can I have Pass switch be given to the battery directly just like in Unicorn? If that is the case what mod would this require?

I know there been lot of questions.. sorry guys!

    Help me please..

yes you can. the extra amperage of the battery is not going to affect the system. its an indication of how much charge the battery can hold. what you do need to check is if the charging system will be able to provide enough current to charge it.

no mods required in the electrical system (do'nt allow your mech to do anything ) , for the battery to charge you need to use the bike day time at moderate speeds for 10-15 kms on daily basis and the load given by lights, horns etc... only mod required in making enough room for the battery to sit in the existing space(againt depends on the size of the bat)

please update once it is done

First, I don't think would install such heavy horns that would gobble the load. Slightly better horn would work for me.

Lights: I have Halonix 35/35w M5 type sitting pretty on Mazda doom and that is better than the stock. I now see the roads better and the spread is good. The high beam lits road to a reasonable distance.

The reason I would like to go in for the higher amp battery is that the horn tends to go soft while my indicators turned on over a period of time.

I find it strange that the horn won't honk when the bike is not running??

Another point why I would like to go for the higher amp is that planning to get the Pass switch connected directly to battery so that it lights up bright even if the bike is not on high rpm. Can somebody throw light as to what would be modification be done to achieve this?

Any suggestion and direction will be most welcome.
