BTW, I have seen the manual they use in service center. You don't get that. I don't think any manufacturer supply such manual when you purchace new bike or car. At least not to my knowledge. The only manual I get is the Owner's/Service Manual that provides basic information. Not the detailed information Service Center people uses, they have all information down to nuts & bolts.

I dearly want such a manual, so let me see how I can get a copy from MadMax

There is a difference between Service Manual and Workshop Manual.

Service Manual is the booklet you get when you purchase the bike. It has all the basic information.

Workshop Manual is a book given only to service center guys which has all the information from wire diagram to nuts and bolts.

If anyone has the Workshop Manual, please share it here. A free pizza from my side to the guy who provides it =)

This is the worst information I've ever seen.

The booklet that comes with your bike which lists some basic things relate to the bike is called Owner's manual

The book which details servicing an repair procedures for a given model is called service manual, workshop manual, shop manual, service guide etc. Bajaj calls them Workshop manuals, Bajaj has some low level training books also which lists some basic things to be done by dealership technician, they are called provisional training notes. Jut like Nokia has 2 different service manuals for each model of phone, one basic and the other very detailed.

The one which lists all the name and part numbers of a given model is called SPC or spare parts catalog.

The people in HERO calls it "Service Manual." Since it's a hero thread, you should refer to it with same. Also, you should start abiding by the tag line you are using in your post =)

Which people are you referring to, the guys at ASC?
I have seen many ASC people of various companies use funny terms, like "class" for "clutch", "starter" for "stator coil", "overall" for "overhaul" etc. Hell, I've seen invoices which used these incorrect terms.

When I said Bajaj uses those terms, I cited from the manuals themselves, which are primary source. I have access to pretty much all Bajaj service manuals and some Hero service manuals, but I would not like to publish them in fear of being charged with copyright infringement.

BTW it is always better to attack the idea or the post, not the person while engaging in conversation on online forums.

The forum is full of people who are using alternative terms for Owner's manual and Service Manual. I didn't mean to be offensive but, it was my first post in this forum and you started hounding and discouraging me =) No offense to you. I would love to get corrected but, in a sober way.
