    Hi all,

I own a Honda Activa, I am quite happy with it.
My concern is that I get a burnt-up smell from the engine every time I go long distances. I then learnt that it is not the engine heating up, but simply the variomatic clutch that starts slipping due to excessive heat and also due to my excess-weight.
Is it safe to ride it over long distances (50~100kms or so) at a stretch?
If yes, at what intervals of distance should I stop to let it cool down?

    Thank you
    Regards,

I used to drive a ki ho marvel and i weighed around 125kg,though have reduced to 90kg now,but yes the vario thus tend to get heated and after some time u start to feel a drop in performance. There are two options-
1-Ride at a medium pace and avoid ripping.Take a break after a one hour ride.
2-Option two always works-Hit the gym
      Socha Toh Locha.

        Thank you.
I am practicing the second option too. (Hitting the gym)
