  • Dunlop Monster 120-80-19?

    Hi all,
Im searching for a new rear tyre for my 2005 Thunderbird which i bought recently. The rear tyre has worn out. And its raining heavily in Kerala thesedays with 2 months of evening thunderstorms to follow till Dec. Im desperate to get a new rear tyre. Currently its running on an MRF Nylogrip 3.50-90-19. Eventhough its ok, i would like to go for a broader tyre@ rear. My options are MRF Meteor 110/90/19 [it costs rs.1800/-] and the Dunlop Monster 120/80/19 [rs.2000/-]. I was about to go for the MRF Meteor. But, a lot of guys says its a stupid tyre and it skids like hell in rains. I know some guys who changed it within a couple of months after purchase. Any guess about Dunlop Monster 120/80/19? I personally checked the tyre. It looks wide & has a deep water groove in the middle. So, it seems it will perform better in wet conditions which i give importance to. Can i fit it without modifying the swingarm? Will it touch/scratch the mudguard/chaincover while riding with a pillion? Are there any better options from Michelin? I dont like the Duro ones. Please suggest. My choice is still the Dunlop Monster
