As it is a old bike, I guess the engine will need an overhaul. Get it done properly. Rear disc from P220 is a good thing to do. This will mean newer 17 inch alloys too. Clipons as per your preference. I found P180UGIII handlebar sporty enough for me. Tyres, keep the front one stock, and for the rear one, don't go above 100/90 size.
Do these first. Other mods can come afterwise. And, no k&n, custom exhausts, silly cosmetic mods etc please.Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

Thanks. I might get them. Are they cheap? Also, do alloy wheels have any significant advantage over spoked ones? How much do they cost?
I bought an ABS today for my front disk brake and also Motul engine oil. I now intend to put a KRP exhaust charger that apparently gives it better pickup and 5 KMph more on the top end. I’ll also be putting in a K&N Air Filter. I know the bike has a good engine but I don’t think an air filter and an exhaust will do any damage to the engine. Are these sensible mods? I have very little information about bikes and am therefore trying to take each step very carefully.
I also want to buy a helmet. I wear glasses so I was looking at those flip-up style things. I can get one from Studds for about a thousand bucks. Sounds good, right?
Please let me know. Thanks.
