  • HELP: P180UG3 Round headlamp mod

Hey guys as all of us know that the round headlamp has the best beam throw, I was wondering if I can install a round headlamp on my P180UG3. I know it is possible but I need ideas to fit the digital console since the original fairing will be totally removed. Any and all ideas are wanted. All kinds of wacky mod ideas are welcome. Ideas with projectors will be better. I was thinking of getting 2 projectors one above the other a la 220 on a P180UG3. So any ideas??

yes you can fit the round headlamp. you would need the side supports from the old Pulsar, and you could fit the headlamp easily.

I have seen a number of people installing the FZ headlight onto their pulsars and ZMAs, i think that would be a good alternative too.

I guess you will have to make 2 clamps from the meter to the clamp near the handlebar.
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

Yes, probably... I am hoping the guy doing this mod puts up some pics and description of how he did it

you could also check out the mounting bracket of the FZ. It comes with mounts for the headlight as well as the meter. maybe it will make life easier, if the mounts for the meter can be used as a base and the meter from the pulsar mounted on it, keeping the alignment in check or doing suitable modification as necessary.

Why don't you fix a P220 fairing, as it has powerful headlight? Your bike will look good.

^^ calibrating the same would be an issue. but you can check out chinese meters, and they have some digital ones as well. though not advised/recommended.

Hey Moeed, Could you give a ballpark estimate of how much this could cost? How about using some parts off a scrapped P220?
