    Query Moved and Approved.

Delhi - Chandigarh is NOTHING, really. It's as straight as a road possibly can be. Take the NH-1 which goes all the way to Chandigarh!

Take the arrow straight NH-1 from the Delhi By-Pass. No shortcuts, really. Travel time 4 hrs average.

There is just one shortcut connecting Delhi - Chandigarh called NH-1

Yup!! There is actually no short cuts!! There are other routes but they are longer. Also almost all the fly-overs are complete on this route so no hassles at all. Road is absolute Run Way quality till panipat. After that too road is very good in Indian Context. From Karnal by pass, it should take you around 3.30 - 4 hours.

You can come back the same day also. Its just that you will have to leave early in the morning. Try to avoid night riding as the road is newly constructed between Panipat and Delhi, and there are no plants on the dividers, hence the Headlights of on-coming traffic on the other lane sometimes gets irritating!!
