    Update on Sound Guys

Today got change to Visit Bajaj SC

First the supervisor Refused to admit and said that its default sound for a P180 I was like

I went inside and started another P180 and forced him to listen to her sound, then he alowed me to see a mechanic

Mechanic did tuning and adjusted few more screws and asked me to change engine oil, But only Castrol active Xtra 20W50 was available
The same I poured at time of service 5 days ago, so I refused.

Now its sounding better, but still I am not totally happy with it, will change oil next week

Can some one please tell me where i can get Motul 30004T 20W50 in New Delhi, as i am planning to switch to Motul 5100 later, so want to start using same brand right now

    Back to sound

Suppose I am riding say at 40 and I see a signal so when close my throtle completly, bike sound like (zzzzoooooooo)
something like very fast wind blowing through your ear
(lol I am doing a reasearch on sounds here)
    Is it normal ???

    One more query
Currently I am using Speed from bharat petrolium for my bike
Is it OK, some guys are saying that using speed in wrong as indian bikes are not manufactured for premium petrols
    Can someone please clerify

    One more
At what interval we should check/fill air in tubeless tyress
In my glamour which had normal tyres on weekly basis
On P180 (tubeless tyres)I am checking pressure at 15 day basis, But sometime I feel that tyre pressure is low. ???

^^^ first, air pressure, check at least weekly. Tubeless loose air faster than tube types.

What screws did he tighten? What part of the engine? I think your bikes real problem is not solved yet. If the oil is good and the level not down, do not change the oil without confirming what went wrong. There can be many things that go wrong to cause rattle.

            Thanks for your inputs guys

@HYdBiker I thought other way around, Now I will check weekly

I am currently Happy with my Bike except this sound

When I complained about hard gear shifting, he did tightend some screws over engine connected to clutch

@rahul What is one way cluch

              sound like mixi
this is the best comparison i have ever heard

On serious node : did you cross 60 kmph speed barrier before first service .
Or you gave it to someone

The damage done in such cases can't be rolled back

@amardeep That evening i was really pissed off, so not other comparision was comming to my mind

0-500km : Never crossed even 3.7 rpm mark ever that means 52kmph,
Just once had to ride triple seated for say 200m

                500-1000km : Traveled around 400kms in a day,@65-70 hit 80 only once
just when i noticed the problem after returning back
Went to Service center, Situation improved, but not solved

1000-13000km : Sound is improving, but still not happy, now when i close my throtle completly engine sounds like Zoooooooo (like Fast wind blowing)

One important thing : during first service SC poured Castrol Active Xtra 20W50 in my bike, which according to castrol site is Semi Syntic.
I didnt know it at that time

All of the guys here have advised to use SS oil only after 3000+ kms
Could this be reason of problem

I finally intend to switch to Motul 5100 15W50
                My plan was like dis
1st service - 500km : use any mineral oil SC gives
                2nd service - 2500km : Motul 3000 4T 20W50
                3rd service and beyond : Motul 5100 20w50

Now Sc guys have screwed my plan by pouring a Semi synth oil in first service itself,
Now which oil I should use during 2nd service
As switching from semi synth (Castrol) to Mineral (Motul 3000) is not recommended.

I am posting all my queries here, coz i dont want to start new threads unnecessarly

the Castrol Activ 4T Xtra is not a semi Synth. Don't worry. It lets your engine run in pretty well.

                    >OIL:
As Pulsar 150 company recommended oil speci is 20w40 and for Pulsar 180-200-220 company recommendation is 20w50 oils
w40 or w50 means the thickness of the oil if you use w40 oil in your bike then the oil will not stick to the walls of the engine or cant give proper protection.
using 15w40 oil instead of 20w40 engine oil in pulsar 150cc means flowing of engine oil in engine is much easier as compared to 20w40 recommendation. Using wrong grade of engine oil results in a hard to operate clutch, notchy gearbox and internal engine damage. So the rating in starting could be change like 10w50 or 15w50 or any thing but remember don't forget the w50 rating should be there as constant.

                    >SOUND:
Don't be over concerned otherwise it will have an adverse effect on you.My bike also produce such sounds as Bajaj Pulsar's have revving engines thats why there is no reason behind tappet losing.

                    >CHANGING ENGINE OILS:
                    Ques:-
Do you know why workshop guys ask you to change your bikes engine oil so early even it hasn't done much KM's on Odo.? why they say its in running period.?

                    Ans:-
Engine is made up of metal and got it shape from machines which cut it with sharp HS steel so the engine has many sharp edges and remains of metal in side it this is why it is said to change engine oil even your bike has not done much KM's on its odo + its in running period too.If you don't do according to what company says you may screw up your engine like that metal pieces can destroy your piston, cylinder or many other sorts of problems

                    RESULT:
You can use semi syntactic or fully syntactic oils in your bike after your 2 free service.Engine will become smooth and friction less after this 2 service use company recommended oil for these 2 service.20W50

@HydBiker : Even I thought so but the websit says differently
                      Castrol India - Activ Xtra - 20W-50

@Zayn : Thanks Bro, I am also following what you said, and was planningto switch to Motul SS after 2nd service, see my plan chart. Motul 5100 in not available in 20W50, so no other option than going for 15W50

Now I am not over concerned, or may be a bit
its jut that when you buy somthing with so much hope, invest a big amount and love it so much, you just want it to perform nothing less than best.

I only post all these queries here coz I hardly get chance to bvsit Service center, I am only free on weekends and most of the time some or other work pops up
