Yeah, I changed the whole set both the times. The first time i changed it, the mechanic showed the old and new chains to me and the old one was comparatively much longer than the old one. The round things with teeth were also changed and i saw that the teeth had lost their edges because of wear and tear.

This time, i did not compare the length of the chains although i did look carefully at those round things. Two of them are made of hard rubber and one is made of metal. The rubber part had all it's teeth intact except one. There was a little wearing off of the teeth, but not much. Since i saw that one of the teeth was completely missing, i insisted that the whole part be changed.

Will go through the owner's manual although im not too hopeful of finding anything useful there.

Thanks a lot to everybody who is taking interest in the matter.

Kinetic motorcycles use Hero Honda spares as many of you must be knowing. The full kit costs something around Rs.250-280.

^^ good investigative work there. The round things with teeth are called gears.

You need to get the camshaft and the valve springs checked for too much stiffness, that could be causing the timing gears to wear out sooner. Also worn out bearings of the cam can cause strain on the chain ( but i wont know if the cam on this has a bearing or not )

Seriously guys, you need a postmortem to figure out why such young lives were wasted in their prime...
