Hi guys, need a quick solution on this. I have a problem with my 200cc pulsar, it has persisted over the past 2 months, when chain rolls over the sprocket, more than 90% of the chain rolls over the sprocket smoothly, its only one part of chain which does not roll over smoothly. When I don't accelerate the bike loses its speed quickly, and its good for 1 or 2 weeks after the service but it re-appears again. Will regular oiling of chain will help or there is something else to it?

i tink u need to change the chain sprockets as the teeth might hav crushed slightly how much kms hav u run???
generally u needa check the srocket atleast after 9000km i changed mine recently but had done 27,000Km n it was high time for me to chnage tho my chain just used to get off once in a blue moonComment

You may have certain section ( the one part that does not roll over smoothly) of the chain elongated. If it is the problem with the sprockets only, then the problem should have appeared on every rotation of the sprocket. Or you may have certian areas of the chain elongated (damaged) and defect in the sprockets and when these two areas match then the problem will appear.Originally posted by preethamj View Post

See, it is a problem with the bike transmission as a whole. Now, the chain sprocket kit covers both sprockets and the chain. So, for replacing one part, you will have to replace all parts anyway. After that the problem should go away. Just clean and lube the chain regularly so it does not go kaput later.200 | 300 | 1200 BOXERComment

If i don't replace the chain sprocket kit, will this problem affect the performance of the bike or the regular usage of the bike further degrade the existing chain sprocket kit?Comment

its not the sound produced due to the slackness of the chain, its the chain when it rotates over the sprocket the free motion of it is hindered, you can feel it when the rare wheel is rotated. Its just that part of the chain or sprocket which needs something extra while the rare wheel is in motion and rest of it is smooth.Originally posted by viv.nomad View PostComment

Take out both the sprockets and see what is the status either the teeths might have got broken or they are not blunt and can not hold the chain.so get the chain set replaced as the chain's inner llops might have got damager\d.
