  • pulsar start up problem

When ever I start my pulsar 180 (UG3) it starts with only one kick/self start... but if I leave it idling it will just die after few seconds... even after revving the engine for around 30- 60 seconds to get the engine warm, when I start riding it... for the first 5-10 mins it acts like its running out of petrol and it will stall some 5-10 times (everytime I use self start and it starts back up in one shot). This happens even when I park it in the sun or in my covered parking. It happens in hot and cold climate and even when I just start the bike first time in the morning or even in the middle of the day. Any solution?

The idle speed may be too low. Set it at 1300 rpm and see.
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

what about pickup of bike ?
If low then small tuning may help you.

This definetely sounds like a problem with carb tuning..Set the engine idling to 1300 rpm as mentioned by abhijeet080808 and also get the air feul mixture adjusted, better done by a experienced mechanic..

If these things dont help have the carburetor cleaned , fuel lines checked and have the airfilter cleaned too
