  • Tyre Shops in Bangalore

    Hi All,

It's time for my bike to get new tyres. I own a 2004 pulsar 150 (which was the first to come out with alloys). and have rode 35k on the stock set. I have a 750 touring planned this weekend, so I am in a hurry to get my tyres changed.

From the MRF webpage I found that

    Front 2.75 17 zapper FS
    Rear 100/90 17 zapper C

are stock fit and are ideal. But, I am not able to locate the other details such as

    - Price of these two tyres.
    - Can I fit in a tubeless if so what are the specs and how much does it cost. ( i do not want to do any modifications, it should be a straight fit)
    - Recommend some good tyre shops in Bangalore around jayanagar, vijaynagar (surprisingly mrf do not have it's own dealers on their site)

    Please reply at the earliest

The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

if you do find MRF tyres in Bengalooru, let me know, i want to know the dealers name.
due to the on-going protests b/n MRF and its employess, the supply to demand ratio is reaching uncontrollable proportions!

i am searching for a tyre (90/90-17) for an AVY from 3weeks in vain

That's shocking I did not know this...

I was doing more browsing and stumbled across Secura-Zoom (front) and Vertigo Sport (rear) from ceat...are these any good? or do I have any other options. I also do a bit of off-roading , so I am not looking for soft compound tyres.

More update called popular bajaj for tyres availability - answer was no, they recommended Tyre Craft in thilaknagar, asked them for the tyres - same response. Infact they told me they have no tyres for pulsar 150 mag wheels

Guys...I need tyres for the ride...do I have any other options. Appreciate you answer at the earliest

as u do bit of off-roading, Mich's are outta you RADAR.

CEAT/DUNLOP are good, but as there is no choice you have to end up with that of-course. TVS Tyres suck big time, better run FLAT than TVS

there are countless tyre shops in JC road, rest other guys (not all) get the tyres from JC road itself, so why not head straight to JC road?

          rotti raja BTW mane yelli?

EDIT: wots the profile of both the sock tyres?

if u aint finding it in JC road also, ur last resort will be
                  VS Automobiles-katriguppe, BSK 3rd stage.
i have booked two MRF stock profiles for you.
but that costs a bomb there

                    thanks vas,

Yesterday picked up ceat secura and vertigo stock profile for my P150, but mrf tyres is not available in almost all shops in JC Road. I heard that there is a strike in their union and so the supply is badly hit. The shop owners feel it might take another month for the issue to be resolved.

Guys if u badly need a tyre replacement (MRF) you could ride/come over to Mysore on a weekend (preferable NOT Sunday) coz my bro's friend picked up a tyre for his R15 as he had the same problem of not finding a tyre dealer due to the strike. AFAIK stocks here are available. But probably the last few pieces.
Riding is a way of life. Sometimes, it might also be a way of giving life. So Ride safe. In both contexts.

                            1. dealers vary prices so...
                            2. yes. but the hole needs some grinding to plug in the broader neck. not retrofit.
                            3. tyre is what matters, not the shop. if you can figure out the good real ones then any shop would do. i got my vyde frm chamrajpet, ie, ride down further from JC. shop comes on your rightside and i paid bout 500 less than the one in JC.
