  • HELP: FZ-16 Sprocket change

Guys got yet another puncture, but this time it was different......
The moron who fixed it miss-aligned the wheel, which bent the sprocket costing me 2500 for my FZ16 now.

BUT this is where i want help from you guys . The YAMAHA guys have not been able to answer me if i can have the DAYTONA sprocket(alone) for my bike cause any ways im changing the sprocket.
    • Is this sprocket available as a stand alone?
    • Is there any difference in size that the bike will have a different out put(bigger Sprocket-faster;smaller Sprocket -quicker)?
    • Heard tat the material is a better one so will that mean it will last long(lesser chain sprays cause its a head ache to carry those tin cans for a long trip)?
    • How much will it cost?

Guys please help cause im sittin without my bike to ride which is making me go crazy.

      - Dont think so, but im sure you can order it separately, mail yamaha directly for the info.

      - Yes it will, but if you are talking about the rear sprocket, then bigger sprocket means quicker, and smaller means faster. But you will have to change your riding style accordingly, i.e. shifting early with a bigger sprocket, to stay in the engine rev range, and later with a smaller one so that there is no power loss to ensure the top end. If you tour a lot, or go on long trips, the smaller sprocket will make more sense. If you do more of city traffic, then you can enjoy the bigger sprocket.

      - The lube is also for the chain mainly, and you can live 500 kms without lubing it.
      • How much will it cost?

      - should not be more than 2k.

Guys please help cause im sittin without my bike to ride which is making me go crazy.
